F82 Got Pulled Out from Mud - Anything I Should Check?

We went for a farm event and the vehicle parked at a really muddy spot and therefore was pulled out with the help from a bobcat utility vehicle. Front tow hook and chain were used to pull the F82.

The question is anything I should check to make sure no damage left with the F82? There were multiple times that the chain got really tighten during the pull. Thanks!

How deep in the mud were you? Did it go up the rubber and past the bottom part of the wheel or was it just a traction issue?

I agree with this. I think everything else you can pressure wash off but this could be pretty damaged.

No worries if it was just traction and not deep mud. There might be some mud to clean up in the wheel well.

For a feel good, check out the fins on the bottom side of the differential and ensure they are free of mud.

Yup I haven't thought about that. I'll do it first thing in the morning!

Should be fine if from what it sounds like the mud didn't go mid-way past your tires...

I see these threads a lot in Florida; but it usually involves the everglades and mud trucks.

Sorry OP, I'd make sure they check the intake filters to make sure no mud was inhaled.

Yea this car is dual purpose according to BMW, so it should handle family car duty and either off road or track duty, I forgot which one....

Jack it up and hose it off . If it was a traction issue like you say mud wouldn't be packed in the cooler . It would have had to fill the lower bumper air inlets first . But definitely worth a peek
