I know for some dealerships that the listings aren't really there either. Meaning the car has already been sold. I will be extremely surprised if even half of those lists are still technically active. The thing about the 991 GT3, they were kind of unpopular for the main reason that the .1 didn't have an manual option. That was a huge sticking point to Porsche fanboys until the .2 versions rectified it. Then of course we have the mass engine recall that messed with them. Porsche did the right thing of course but that hit the resale. That is why you see the .1 GT3 with so many former owners. Those cars especially get scalped left and right because of it. And then on top of ALL of that, the 991 GT3 were made in abundance so there are indeed far more of them. I don't regret waiting for my 718 GT4. I just oddly prefer it for some reason, even over the former .1 or .2 991 GT3.

Its a perfect storm of limited supply plus the move away from ICE to EV. New Cayman/Boxster is said to be fully EV in 2025 without ICE option. So forget about doing upgrades to exhaust, headers etc. |

I am not going to lie I saw a dark grey (maybe Dravit?) G82 competition with dark tinted windows in pouring rain today on the freeway and it didn't look all that bad. What is odd is I saw a dark grey F82 M4 (Dinan badge, exhaust and wheels) about 5 minutes prior which looked dated compared to the new one I saw shortly thereafter.

The sea of metal in the rear quarter above the rear wheel bothers me the most, I think. Then the prolapsed bumper.

Hate the saying "it looks dated," what does it mean anyway? Does it look worse just because it's previous generation?

I don't think the G82 looks particularly fresh and modern next to an F82 LCI. E92 to F82 was a bigger jump in that regard.

Holy shit that design language difference.
F82; Flows into form, with the lines following the entire car making it look fast at a standstill G82; Lines begins and stops multiple times, seems bulky but shorter, almost compressed compared to the previous generation Quote:
It's one beautiful car. That said the F8X neither looks old or dated to anyone who doesn't know that new thing is the follow up. |

Let's break that down: The G82, in dark grey, in pouring rain, doesn't look "that bad"; So the highest looks bar the G82 can cross is the lowest possible bar. "you know, if I'm drunk, and it's dark & raining, and I put a dress on her, and she doesn't oink too much, she's doesn't look all that bad!" If only there were allocations for Miss Piggy!

Wow, see the prices going for used G82 and G80s lately? The 90k the dealer sold mine for was a steal! Wtf is going on in the auto business and who is paying this kind of money? Shit is completely unhinged at this point!
I screwed up buying that ugly ass car, then I screwed up selling in early August! Who the hell could have known! Plus, the semi conductor situation is getting worse! I bet I could get 95k for it now! Woe is me lol |
