Some warranties in the UK have "key care" Mercedes for example will replace and reprogram keys as part of the warranty. OP that might be worth something investigating.
$400 is a massive slap across the face. |

I just bought a used M4 last week. Came with one key. Went to local dealer, paid $396 for new key - FOB and Metal Key Insert. Place new key next to markings on steering column. Turn on hazard lights, press brake and then START button. May have to try a couple of times. My car started on second try.
