Right price for a used M4 GTS

Hi all,

Looking into a M4 GTS and was wondering what's the right price for one. The one I'm looking at has a bit over 30k miles and a minor rear bumper accident. Other than that, it's a one owner car.

Let me know!

Both of those are huge drawbacks (high mileage and accident) if you are looking to buy as an investment opportunity.

Otherwise look at market value, KBB, and go from there.

KBB isn't available for this one unfortunately, that's why I'm kinda confused as to what the right price should be.

I know exactly which one you are looking at; that's the lowest priced, highest mileage on the market. Outstanding deal. Aside from performing a Prepurchase inspection- I think you should jump on it. There are less that 7 M4 GTS on the market nationwide right now.

Check for water pressure errors via OBD2, condition of the front knuckles, and if the drivetrain recall was conducted.

I am looking at the exact same car. Based on that super clean car that just sold for 66K I had a number in mind. I would ask for interior pics prior to making an offer. I have never seen a 30K car with the interior wear this one has

I was thinking it's priced too high for the condition and mileage. Again, I have a 16 6MT with less miles and am unsure how the GTS will hold up over time.

I made an offer I thought was reasonable. I think I offended him a little. That was not my intent. I was willing to move quickly on it no PPI just show up pay and drive it home.

Might be my turn to offend him lol JK all things aside, I'd cop for the right price but $64k is def overpriced.

Tough one to value. Buyers had the upper hand a few months back, now it's the only sub 85-90k listed, yeah? Hard to clearly tell condition from pics, but even with the fender bender price doesn't strike me as unreasonable. Someone who wants a GTS but can't afford 85-90k might bite. As a seller that's what I'd be thinking.

How much do you want a GTS? If it's what you really want, slightly lower 60's or upper 50's. Market has dried up and it's a one of a kind M car.

I'm pretty certain this car has been listed and unlisted several times over the last 6 months. 63k doesn't seem unreasonable given the mileage. My only concerns would be the condition of the CCBs, sounds like the guy tracked the car a bit. With a disc refurbishment I think that puts the car closer to 70k, which is a tough call given past pricing of the GTS.

There is one on Bring a Trailer with 61 miles at $67,000 with 2 days left and one on cars.com, certified with around 500 miles at $89,000.
Both great prices for extra low mileage.
The B.A.T one might jump on the last day of auction though...

Interesting fact that all three cars for sale at cars.com went up in price this week. Cheapest asking price is now $99,900.
As some of you already know, the BAT one sold for 81,000 or 85,000 including auction fees.
That $63,0000 one is getting more and more attractive as long as you get a mechanical inspection prior to purchase...

Good deal. $17k more for 27,000 fewer miles and no accident history adds up.

Looks like a good deal.
Cheapest one I can see is at $85,000 now...
Most are now in mid to high $90,000.
Good luck with the sale!

I paid 78 just now for one with 5100 miles still under warranty so I was able to extend BMW coverage 3 more years.

I plan on driving it quite a bit more than previous owner, but only weekend, club and occasional track day.

Cosmetically very good, has a few slight scrapes on the splitter lip (how can you not), previous owner had XPEL Stealth applied to hood, front bumper, and gloss XPEL to roof and rear wing. Also ceramic on windshield.

Water injection not functioning, car going in Friday.

I've got 300 miles on so far and am in love.

Can't wait to see what it drives like with the top 50 hp...

I think I bought the car this thread was initially referring to.

No claim on the Carfax with regard to the bumper issue - looks like it was just the cover damaged, so that part was swapped out. Can't tell at all - the exterior is in excellent shape cosmetically. Interior has a few scratches in the leather and some wear on the driver's bolster, but otherwise in quite good nick.

Carbon brake rotors were replaced by the PO and have lots of meat on them - weighed the front discs and they are basically new - 7422g with min weight of 7219g.

I think mine is the highest mileage example in the world (33.3k miles when I got the car, now at 34.2k), which is fine, because I bought it to drive! Came with lots of spares - new upper and lower front splitters among them.

Hopefully values begin to rise across the board - these are an incredible value at current prices. The initial reviews really hurt the car in my mind. This thing is every bit as quick and special as a 991.1 GT3, but much lower production numbers and currently trading at a significant discount. It was a no-brainer for me.
