Spark Plug Question

Couldn't find a definitive answer so I'm starting my own thread. I recently just went FBO Bootmod3 Stage 2 91 (AGG) map with my 2018 BMW M4 and I want to run a bit of E. Since I'm in california, I tossed about a gallon of E85 with a full tank of 91 and the 91 tune felt WAY better. My first question is

1. Can I run an E30 Map with my NGK spark plugs currently gapped at .022? I know it is recommended to gap them at .020 for full E85.

2. Would it be completely out of the question to run the full E85 map with my plugs gapped at .022? I am planning on replacing these current spark plugs in less than 10k miles.

3. If I am running a blend on the E30 Map what is the recommended mixture, 30% e85, 40% e85, 50/50?

Car has Crankhub fix, Colder NGK plus (idk the exact part number), SSR intakes, catless downpipes, and upgraded charge pipes. Any info would be much appreciated

.022 is just fine. If you were running full e85 and had a plug misfire then gap them tighter. Your easily fine for the next 10k miles.

Just search for an ethanol blend calculator online.

Yeah I’m curious if I have to go through the trouble of regapping them for full e85. Let me know if you ever try it

If you are not having misfires, there's prolly little benefit in regapping them. All engines are a bit different. You should be good!

I just gapped mine to .020 bc I'm planning to go E85
But I've been driving on my 91 stage 2+ tune and it seems likes it's cutting a lot of power anyone have any ideas?

If you’re running AGG I added a gallon of e85 and it felt way better. I think CA gas is just bad (assuming you’re using CA 91).

This is based off my research.

NGK 97506 - .018 gap with solely full E85 or .020 with flex fuel custom rom map.

NGK F8S plugs is .020 on flex fuel custom rom.

My car ran pretty poorly with .022 gap on full E85 (NGK 97505). It felt like it lost power which it did based on my logs.

CA gas is terrible. Some tuners make an even milder 91 map called ACN91 for AZ,CA and NV.

You should run e85 in CA…
