Auto high beam issues

I have an f80 with the lighting package. The auto high beam seems to work intermittently and won't shut off every time when a car is approaching. I live in Texas and suspect my toll tag may be blocking the sensor/camera in the back of the mirror. I've moved the toll tag down a bit but still no luck. Any further down and it may not work at the toll booth. I know the adaptive function is coded off in the U.S. but can the sensitivity of the auto high beam be adjusted by BMW? Going in from break in service tomorrow. I searched and searched and feel like the only tool having this issue.
