IND | M Performance Mirror Cap DIY
Adding to their collection of carbon fiber parts, BMW M Performance has officially released their carbon fiber mirror caps. These caps are full carbon fiber and feature the usual BMW Performance 2x2 twill weave.
There are no tools necessary for this installation, but we strongly recommend exercising caution during this install. The last thing we want is someone to scratch the gloss black mirror base. Step 1: Beginning at the top innermost corner of the mirror cover, grab the top edge and inner edge with both hands. Grab and apply light to medium pressure while pulling toward your body. Step 2: Maintain light pressure and work your way across the top of the mirror cover while pulling toward your body. Step 3: To install the mirror cap line up the tabs and push into the receiving tabs with light pressure. DONE! Product is available for purchase through our website. For further questions or information please contact an IND representative directly. Email: info@ind-distribution.com Phone: 866-963-4520 (847-963-4520)

Done, although I probably needed stronger fingers! LOL
FYI, put painters tape on the lower portion so you don't scratch it when it pops off!!

That is a great suggestion. We will update the DIY to include this option.

This is a legitimate concern.

yeah, i've found most of these IND videos to be pretty ludicrous. When it comes to actually doing the task it is MUCH harder. I do appreciate the fact that they show you how to do things though.

Yeah Totally agree with ^
Did the performance grill, mirrors, spoiler, badge, side grills and rear diffuser. The superficial stuff with adhesive is no problem. The mirror caps, diffuser and even the performance grill are no way as easy as the video. It was doable, is just took more time and for the grill a screw driver to unclip the lower clips |

Took both stock caps off to see if I could wrap them. Broke tabs on both of them. FML. They go back on, but the OCD side of me knows that tabs are broken off. I guess I'm buying CF caps.
