Intelliprice did not overestimate like kbb.com

Intelliprice shows my 335 coupe as 32-37k, so let's say 35k. A nice 9k loss which is what I suspected...pretty high cost for 5500 miles.

kbb.com shows it at 43k. If I could get 43k, I'd take it! Doesn't take a genius to realize that's wrong on a 46,470 list.

I find that nada values are more inline, but they can all be off. My IS300 was totaled a few weeks ago and I was researching to prepare for an insurance company battle. kbb listed it at $12k trade-in and $15k private party. Nada listed it at $14k trade in and $17k private party. I looked through auto trader, dealer websites and carmax and the average asking price for the same year and mileage was around $17,500. So nada was fairly accurate there.

Luckily, my insurance company apparently uses neither and instead pulls numbers out of a magic hat as they gave me $20k for it...

A lot of times the insurance company will research around your area and find what they are selling for expecting that you would purchase another one in your area. If they are still selling high or at least asking high, sometimes you can make out ok!

KBB is always high - the dealer will tell you to do trade fair condition and then the price comes out more accurate - NADA is usually a bit better, but it is also off sometimes.

KBB trade fair condition is $34765 on your car, so $35k is a good assumption.
