OK, i already made my decision that if i get the BMW its going to be the 335 sedan, but here is the interesting part, a friends of my dads who works on the Mercedes told me that the model C350 2008 is a much better car, i saw some pics and i must admit that it does look great.

He told me that if i can give him 10 reasons why the BMW 335 is better then the C350 he will give me a 5k rebate, i don't know how the heck he has authority to do this, but i think he is bluffing.

He is also kinda of lame, if i do get the 10 reasons why the BMW is better, what makes him think I'm going to buy the Mercedes.

Anyways, what do you guys think?

He sells MB's... what do you expect? Of COURSE he is going to tell you the C350 is better. IMO, it's not. There are some cars (Audis and Infinitis) that are much closer to the 335 than a C350. Although I do like the look of the C350, I would choose a G35or IS35 of the MB in a heartbeat. Here are a few reasons to add to your list...

1. 300 HP twin turbo
2. WAY better sport seats
3. Better handling with sport package
4. Better quality interior materials
5. Way better road feel and connection to the road
6. Roomier interior (at least it felt that way to me subjectively)
7. Smooth 6MT
8. Monster brakes that never fade
9. Revs forever and the engine is silky smooth all the way to redline
10. One of the best resale values of any auto

I also test drove a c350 fully loaded. Really nice cars but cannot touch the feel of the 335 much less the performance.

get the january car and driver - they do the C300 vs the 328i and crap all over it (and the only difference is the engine in the benz vs the 350) - looses to the bmw for more than 10 reasons!

Oh - and for the record, why try - C350 with a 5k rebate (which he should do for you anyway) is still not worth buying over the 335. I would take it for 15k off so I could sell it and by a 335!

One of the main reasons i will continue to choose BMW.
Almost went with a MB, Audi, G37 after my last lease but cant turn down the maintenance!

If you want a manual transmission, the C350 isn't even in the running.

If this was significant enough to tip the scale in favor of the BMW, it must have been a pretty tight race.

The MB is a really nice car. But test drive them both, and if you feel like the MB is better.... you don't deserve to drive a BMW
