Warning tones, a change request to BMW

Can you guys please introduce a differnet tone for the 'when leaving the car and and by the way this is what is wrong with it before you go' noise

I have flattened my battery twice now because I left my lights on, and whilst the car alterted me to the fact I ignored it because I thought it was another one of the miriad of low priority alerts that you receive at this time.

Doesn't your car have an auto-light option? I haven't worried about turning my lights on or off for months.

You must be married and have been trained to tune out nagging. My suggestion for a more satisfying relationship with both your car and personal life is if you give more attention to the little things, it will pay off in big dividends.

This reminds me of the poster who wanted to know if he could pull the fuse on the seat belt sensor because he didn't want to hear the dings....is he related to you?

If you bump the turn signal when getting out (car is off), it turns on the parking lamps on one side. I bet that's what the OP is talking about. It gives you that gong warning sound when you do it.

No.. Its me I am clearly stupid, but I can think of a few tones that I really dont care about. Its cold, I know, Your washer bottle is empty, I know, the expensive oil is low AGAIN, I know, these things I dont care about when leaving the car, the lights on I do.

I have just found that as the tone is the same I have developed a habit of thinking that it is a repeat of an alert I received earlier and ignore it much to my cost.

I can ask can't I.

Snow warning? Never heard it! Next you'll say there's a snowflake or something.

I think this ice warning is a myth... maybe it's because ice is a myth!

I love SoCal. Oh, and I had the top down going to lunch today.
