If you gotta run over a carcass...
I just came across a couple of damage pics I forgot about and wanted to share. So a few months ago while going into work I'm speeding along when god damn, I spot a carcass in the road. I couldn't lane change as there was a car along side me(I was in the fast/left lane), couldn't apply brakes or I'd have taken one in the ass (another car was like 2 lengths behind me), so the only alternative was hit the thing and hope for the best..."Thud, thud"...whew! Yeah, whew my ass.
I want to say it was a medium sized dog, but I'll never be sure. All I know was me, Brian and Mike over at Schneller BMW(one of the great indie shops in my area) was pulling fur away from what was left of the under cover/skid plate. That thing nearly tore off half of it. Long story longer, I bought a new one for $140 I think and the dealership cleaned up the underside and installed that piece for $20! Just for the record, Tulley BMW in NH does not suck. Anyway, the moral of this story is, if you gotta run over a carcass, make sure it's a squirrel.

Great story. I feel for ya. The day I picked up my 335is I ended up following too close to a semi...wait for it...he straddled one of those aluminum ladders they use to climb up a travel trailer and I had no where to go. Clank, clunk, pow, boing, wham.
Rats. Bad bad bad.

Reminded me back in the day I had a lowered Civic, interstate at night in the middile of BFE... I see in the middle of my lane a trail of heavy blood look up and deer right in the center of my lane. too late to do anything but clinch up. Car 3 inches off ground... deer at least 11 inches, I bet I fillet-ed his ass good. No damage that I found, but the dogs sure were sniffing around when I pulled in. Did find some blood on the door and skirts the next day.

Nah, was probably rotten anyways, but I did contemplate saving the fur so my granny could knit a beanie to commemorate the event. Hahaha, I freaking had enough.

You drove over a CARcass, I drove over a TRUCKass back in the 70s in a low British sports car...pickup truck in front of me dropped its spare tire right into my path at 60mph in heavy highway traffic so, like you, I could not change lanes. Tore up my front steering linkage mighty well, right at a time when spare parts were not coming due to a factory labor strike.
