It sucks.
However the older I get the more I think to myself that I am glad he didn't kill another person in another car innocently going about their day. RIP 328i dude |

A YouTube comment said that it looks like an attempted suicide. Maybe he wasn't wearing a seatbelt? The cabin looks mostly intact with no major intrusion into it, I'm not sure how bad the damage to the roof was since they cut it off.
Edit: The wheels probably got caught in the ground rolling the car into a tree. The drivers side probably got crushed a little.

Are the car's lights still on (shining out from dark at beginning, also see 2:20ish) or is that just an illusion/reflection from all the bright filming/investigative lighting?

BMW, like most modern cars, go more than fast enough to kill you. Like my friend Mr. Clarkson always says though “Speed has never killed anyone. Suddenly becoming stationary, that's what gets you.”
Even a safe car like the e90 won't save you when you act stupidly behind the wheel. Unfortunate to see. |

Surprised there was a body to cart into the ambulance! Whatever this person was thinking, it wasn't worth this. No one will ever know...and they took it to the grave.
