M2 Leads

Got a friend looking for a manual M2 at MSRP or less. Any leads?

Also does anyone know if there are changes planned for 2017?

Thanks

Tell him good luck. Right now he won't find a 6MT as most HEA's were DCT and definitely not a single car at MSRP (all available are $5-10K over). Cars will sell at MSRP or more until well into 2017.

To order one, the order bank goes to Spring 2017 or more (some places into 2018), so he's likely in for a long wait.

Just like GT350s and the M3/M4 when it came out if you're diligent and keep looking you'll find one on a lot someone ordered and didn't take. Thanks for your debbie downer attitude tho lol

Not being a downer, just realistic about it and so should you and your buddy.

This is nothing like the GT350 or M3/M4 launches. Get your buddy to read up the 'Pricing & Ordering' threads to get a feel for the situation.

When cars are found on lots, threads go up fast here and they're sold very quickly if mark-ups aren't nuts.

You're right GT350 WAY harder to get than M2 at sticker. Most people are happy to pay 3-5K over. 350R's are going for 40K+ over!

I would agree with this. I recently saw a GT350R for $55K over in Canada! And it was used!

Yeah exactly lol. 2017 GT350 allocatoins are mostly sold out already at 5-15k over MSRP. GT350-R are going for like 30k over.

So he was right the GT350 isnt the same its much worse. But if you read the "Dreaded ADM thread" on the Mustang forums people DO find them at MSRP with a lot of work.

FWIW the M3/M4 had a very nice line when it came out even tho the M2 guys don't want to acknowledge that fact. Hell M3 are still sold out until well into 2017..

I believe you can get a 17 at Dave Walter (Akron Ohio), all the 16s are spoken for. Besides that I think you gotta play the waiting game or pay a mark-up.

Took me 2 minutes and one of the larger Canadian dealer inventory searches to find both a 2016 M3 and a M4 available.

Not sure if it is the same in Canada but in america they list cars online that are not for sale.

True... but I just saw the M4 at this dealer the other week. If I am in the neighbourhood I will drive by and check if it is still there, but the fact it has been sitting there for sale for several weeks already tells me something about M4 availability versus M2.

Ooooookay. I thought your initial point was that M3 was as hard to find as M2, so I was pointing out that was not the case (at least in Canada). Maybe I misunderstood your point.
