Gents,

Getting ready to spec my M2 (US model)!!!
I need your expertise with the following:
- What is the Performance analyzer M parts option? Is it different from the iPhone M lap timer app? Would you get it for track days?
- What is the detailed breakdown of the items included in the M Driver package?
- Would you buy the M Performance pads or go aftermarket? Is it worth it for track days?
- Am I correct that CarPlay availability is August builds on?

Finally...does anyone know if there is a die cast model out there of the M2 in 1/43 scale?

Thank you for your help!!!

According to the Pricing Guide yes. Canada gets theirs in September on, but they also get iDrive 5.0 which was not mentioned in the US press release nor any of the guides.

Carplay becomes available for the August and later builds. M performance analyzer is what plugs into the car to send the performance data, you can buy it anytime so no need to get it with the car unless you want. The M Drivers package increases the speed limiter a bit and gives you time at M performance school, if your interested in doing the school its probably a good deal but I haven't been able to get many details. I don't know much about the pads.

M driver's pack lifts the governor and gives you a day or two at Thermal or the performance centre in SC (?), the time at the track is well worth it, even if you're a very experienced driver.

http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1089811 - this is detailed thread about the analyzer, which IMO is kinda useless, gimmicks more or less as our F87 has a lap timer which is really the only useful bit.

Pagid pads seem to be the best right now, people here have used them and swear by them. They're probably cheaper than the M perf pads. Upgrading your pads and fluid will help a lot at the track.

Thank you guys!!!
I am thinking to go with:
- LBB
- Exec package
- CarPlay
Still undecided on M Driver package...
I don't think I'll do any M Performance parts as they easily drive the price up...
