I could be wrong but BMW told me once its programmed it cannot be reprogrammed to another car. I have one I purchased and tried to reprogram

I though its the other way around, you code the car to recognize the key. Can not be 100% sure. I just got a used key and will try

How much for the key?

No luck, I got "invalid" for key number when reading the key, not sure its because the key is bad or its not possible to reuse a key. I dont have another key to try to read
