i was shopping for new replacement car. I went one bmw dealer center to another one. I looked at new or used 335i. Even with the new 08 335i without the sport package. THERE IS NO OIL COOLER COMPOMENT. Unfornuately, they did not fix the isuee with high oil temp. Instead they have the Oil temp gauge up to 340 F. Very cheap way to save money. They win you lose case. Even with some of early production date model from 07 335i. They are still have not fix the issue.. The center rather sell the car as it is as with CPO warranty. When they buying in or accept a trade in, they did not want to install the oil cooler. Due to recession and cost saver, they decided to take a risk 50/50 chance that a new buyer would not know about it.

Technically, all e92s (coupes) are already ZSP (sport package equipped). So it should have the OC. I dont think they made (im sure someone will correct me ) coupes with 17s (regardless of transmission).

The issue for e90s IS dependent on it being equipped with 18s and 'paddles' if it has a steptronic. I drove a loner 08 saturday (probably pre 12/07 build bc it had 5K miles and it DID have the temp gauge you mentioned but no OC (nor did it have 18s or paddles). If I have missunderstood your postulate please correct me.

If you do not track your car then it is a non issue. My 07 335i with step and sport does not have the oil cooler and I have a hard time getting the oil temp past 270. It is generally in the 240-250 range. I think the oil cooler thing is being blow way out of proportion. Oh and BTW I live in FL.

All i did at the alot of the bmw dealer center. I check on each of the 335i cars. the one without the sport package. it does not come with OC. The one that come with sport package. it is normally have oc. I just went to mckenna bmw tonight. i was bargaining n trying to make it low for me. It got OC. it does have sport package. It got 18 inch oem rim. it got electronic N-S-W-E direction on the mirror. It think it got the premium package or just leather seat. oh yeah i forgot to tell you it was 07 .. production day was 08/07

all the new e92 dont have zsp already. It is option from the buyer.

i need the oil cooler to drive long distance travel without overheating the engine and for premature damage.

how do u know if an e90 335i has oil cooler?

I stand corrected, just saw a 335-e92 this morning with 17s and no paddles. Why such a vehicle exists is beyond me.

No you don't.


And they only give the oil cooler if you have the 18" wheel option with the Sport Package.

just look in front of the passenger side front tire... you will see it if it is there.
Mine has it however I do have the sport package, November 2007 build.
