Brake and DTC warning Icons came on today

Okay, I looked for pics, but couldn't find any.
I took off hard from a light today (not racing, just enjoying) and the icons for brakes and DTC came up. They are in yellow up on the warning icon area of the dash.
Now, the yellow BRAKE is supposed to mean that the 2 second hill assist is no longer functioning. The yellow DTC thing, well, that just means DTC is mot functioning.
I checked the brake fluid and it seemed like it was at a good level, but it was hot...does that matter?
The only thing I have done lately is the CDV mod.
Any ideas out there?

If it reads DTC in yellow, that means DTC is on, DSC is off.

It isn't the DTC letters, it is the little arrow and exclamation point in a triangle that normally flashes when you break traction.
I can pitch the entire back end in a 180 through a u turn, so there is nothing working right now, that is what I am saying. I know that when everything is working, that is the symbol that comes up when you press theDTC button. Trust me, ain't nothin' working right now.

You know, I never would have thought to test DTC by doing a 180 through a turn.

Sounds like you have a brake problem and that affects DTC. Get it checked. Might be a simple thing.

I had the same lights illuminate on me as well. It turned out to be a wheel speed sensor/TPMS on the right rear wheel. It also disables the cruise control.

Hope this helps.

That's interesting Pat...maybe the hard launch caused it? I will take it in tomorrow. Gotta get it done before surgery on Thursday.
Thanks for the help!

I don't get what the prob is here. The triangle surrounded by the circular arrow flashed on your dash when you lost traction, indicating that DSC was taking effect. What's wrong here?

Guess I didn't make it clear on the original post?
The warning lights are up permanently. The initial light is the triangle and circle with an exclamation point followed by a yellow brakes icon. When they go out on the main computer display, the small icons on the warning panel are still solid.
This is not a "DSC is going its job" flash.

Anyway, I took it in today and sweated the problem being the CDV. Turns out it is a sensor under the seat that detects the balance of the car. It seems to have gone bad, so they are replacing it next Tuesday.
Gotta say though, it is fun driving that thing without anything engaged. In the dry anyway...don't think I would want to play with it in the wet...traction breakis too sudden.

DO you mean a sensor directly under the seat? Kinda eerie that you mucked with the cdv and then you get a failure of something else. The CDV you did the other week sounds appealing, but I'm getting used to the stock clutch by now (almost 5k mls).

I know...I was seriously waiting for them to say, "Sorry, we see that you have changed this valve...we will have to charge to fix this!"
I was relieved when the service manager said it was only the sensor. Unfortunately, that means taking out the driver side seat and rails. Getting it done next Tuesday...
The CDV really just makes the clutch feel normal...it is much lighter and not as notchy. It is a simple delete...if you decide to do it, pm me and we can go over to Thompkins and do it.

Mine got cleared after the sensor replacement and I haven't had any worries since then.
Seemed like a simple problem once they got it on the diagnostic.

same thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago. i had both of these errors pop up at the same time. the first time i brought it to the dealership, they said they changed some steering angle sensor, but before i could drive it out of the dealership's driveway, the errors popped up again. left it another night and picked it up the next day and so far its been good for a week.

I just got the same sequence of lights. I am scheduled for service and loaner car in 5 days. Glad I found your post! Sounds like its going to be a two trip deal if they dont stock the sensor.

Same here. Turns out the sensor runs a lot of other little things. Was a fairly easy fix. Although they gave me/I requested my SA buddy to hook me up with a 335 and I ended up getting a speeding ticket

GL, I had nothing like that, just the blinking to indicate it was working.

Did you manage to sort it out?
The warning triangle with the circle around it is now on permamnetly in my car. Pressing or pressing and holding the DTC button doesnt do anything. Did any of you guys manage to get it sorted out. Someone has mentioned it was the sensor.

Can anyone indicate the cost of repairing / replacing the sensor?

one more thing guys:

when this triangle is ON that means that DSC is off? and when DTC is on a screen that means that its ON or how?

.
I had that sensor fail, it is related to the Active steering system. I got a puncture and had that sensor break, I got the same DSC failure light.

Do you have active steering?

i would just go to the dealership

the yellow triangle means that dtc is off, when you have to hold down the button for dsc for like 5 seconds to turn it on, and just press it to turn it off, dsc is activated if you just press the button
