They got me too...

I brought my 325i in today to have them look at some bubbling paint on the front bumper. Wanna guess what loaner they gave me? Yup, 335XI. Man this thing is fast. I'm scared then when I get my 325 back its going to seem slow This is my first time driving a 335 and while I'd love to have that much power, a 335 doesn't fit my budget But at least I get to have fun with it for a day or two.

A couple of side notes..
I noticed that the switch for the headlights doesn't push in and out like the one on my 325. I never really knew why mine pushed in or out anyway, does anyone know?

Also this car has the light tan interior, which I think looks about as good as Amy Winehouse. It just doesn't flow well going from tan, to the wood on the dash, then onto the gray of the dashboard. I guess if the dashboard matched the rest of the tan that'd be OK, but the mix match of colors really looks crappy to me. The light interior really brightens up the cabin too much for my liking too. I also noticed the light color really shows scuffs and marks. It really makes me appreciate my dark interior that much more.

Lastly, I noticed the new alarm light on the rear view mirror was about 1/3 as big as the one on my car. I wish mine was smaller.....the alarm light, not my.........you perverts.

So you have tasted the Dark Side of 335i. Once you've tasted it, you'll never want to leave!!

It's time to sell your 325 and get a 335.

1) Headlight switch pushes in by design. This is for safety in an accident. You may have bumped yours in at one point, now it just goes easier than the one on the loaner.

2) Search for "evolution of the clown nose", there are some variations.

3) Wait until Sept for the LCI facelift before placing your order :-)

Hmm...I'll have to push it harder to see if it goes in. I thought I pushed it pretty hard the first time but maybe not. Again, I'm talking about the light switch, not you know what...perverts.

I know you made disclaimers, but still, you may want to change up your sentence structure a bit.

Yup, the SA started walking me over to it and I got a chubby. And the good news is he called back and said its going to be a few days before they get my bumper painted. So I get to have fun for a few more days.

Another thing I noticed about the 335 is that the radio displays the song and station name. Is that something new or do I not have something set on my radio to do that? I don't remember seeing anything about that in my owners manual.

JackMac, I tried to push the headlight switch in and it wouldn't budge. I pushed to the point where I thought I was going to break it. Can anyone else confirm that all the switches push in???

Here you go, with pics: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=44520

And another: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...adlight+switch

Suggest that you don't do this to the loaner car. Once a switch loses its virginity, it can never go back. Maybe you can get the dealer to replace yours under warrantee, or upgrade yours to the Euro version with rear fog light button.

Same here, Enterprise gave me a Focus wagon At that point I really would have taken a 323i.

Not a smart business decision on the dealer's side. Sure they save money on the loaner but they lose the opportunity to sell a BMW.

That's how they got me...I took my X5 for service and got a loaded 330 (at the time) e90 loaner. Then I researched further, waited for the 335s and eventually got an e92 335.

get your car serviced in PA, i have gotten a 328i sedan, 328xi wagon, X3, 335i vert, and 535xi. Figures when i got the vert it rained all day...but I will take rain in a vert over some of the cars your dealer's loan.

Thanks Mac. I searched, but I guess not good enough. And I guess I was being a pussy when I was pushin on the switch. I don't mind mine being pushed in, its out of the way, so I don't think I'll replace it.
