you'll lose by a bit up to 60 due to higher torque but after that it's all about HP and the M5/M6 will take off on you with or without chip.

The M6 is severely limited by traction and weight at low speeds. At high speeds an M6 will keep pace with an F430.

You guys don't think a 400whp 335 can walk an M6.. at least even on the low end?

A procede 335i w/ other mods just participated in the recent M5board race at the famous airstrip in Sweden. Once you hit 100mph good bye, the M6 pulls away into the sunset. Quote:
There is nothing the 335i can do about the M6/M5 top end. |

Your post is the most accurate, you can easily lose traction accelerating even in second gear with the M6. The inaccuracy is the perception the M6 weighs alot....it doesn't. BMW USA is still quoting 3770 lbs as curb weight. Do the power:weight ratios....

i dont think some of you realize what a 0-60mph race is, its practically nothing.
its a M6 convert, the driver probably had a bad launch or didnt know how to launch. its heavier, and maybe the top was down. FWIW, i have seen 400WHP keep up with M5's easily and run faster 1/4 mile times. with a basic tuned 335i 0-100mph is easily to keep up with a m6 convert after that its gone, your gonna need more mods. |

If you want, I can set up some races for you with some M6 / M5 people in your area. Also, what does the top down have to do with anything?

i have raced a few m5's and m6's already i know the outcome, i was speaking from experience, top down and convert is extra weight and drag as mentioned, that is what i was getting to.
