Don't like it....This one seems to be heavier.

Very nice! I had the oem 5spd version in my E46 (minus the //M stripes)..loved the weight & feel of shifts compared to the stock!

P.S. It did heat up on hot summer days though...I didn't have my front windows tinted on the E46

That shift knob will get hot to the touch during daytime if you park you car outside.

hot in the summer....
wear driving gloves!
your car.. if you like it, buy it.
I think it looks good, and short.... i know not a real short-shifter, but will definitely make a more solid "throw".

The stock aluminum trim shifter gets stinkin' hot as it is... I can only imagine how rediculously hot that thing will get. Form < Function

had a similiar knob in my e36 325 coupe. Trust me, in summer or after parking your car in the sun for hours, you will understand 'the theory of heat conduction in metals'. i would chose a leather knob all the time now. happy with the m e90 short shift and the trd sport knob in my corolla.

from this picture, it seems like the new coupe will have a chrome knob very similar to the one you want to get.
