Rwd will never get off the line better than the "Quattro System", he still could of done better by reducing the revs to 2k on the rocker switch .Other than that, it wouldn't look at the CS for performance and fun.

Yup awd obviously has the advantage from a dig but look how fast the cs is reeling it in once they are moving.

It's never going to beat it off the line but the way it gains on the RS4 is impressive, over 1/2 mile the RS4 would be toast.

If it's anything like my CP, you can't drop the revs below 3k

...and he starting the race in 7th gear in D1, there is an inherent delay for DCT to downshift, particularly in D1. Had he started it in 2nd gear in S3, he would have pulled away even more.

That being said, AWD Audis are beasts from a dig. My wife's RS3 launches like a bullet every time easily and consistently.

Damn it, I don't understand why they did this on newer FW of CP.
I can't launch it properly @ 3k

My mistake , it did not sound right what I said.Just got back in from a drive where I tested it.It starts at 3.5k revs and you can reduce it to 2.9k revs on the rocker.
I find it quite decent with the Cup2s, it's still not perfect though.

He does all of his rolling tests like this.
Car in full auto, daily mode and mash the throttle.

Completely pointless test I feel, the car with the most responsive gearbox is gonna take it almost all of the time.

Hope they start doing tests from like 2nd gear 3k rpm for a 1/2 mile or something, would give a much better idea of what to expect in track conditions.

I love drag racing and its fun to know wich is best from a dig but I mean no one is buying these cars only for that purpose.

Good race. Love the RS4. M3CS is awesome too, but now quite dated, can't wait for the G80 M3. But I agree with the philosophy that the next M3 should not be AWD. Instead it should be lighter, more nimble, more driver focused, with better track handling abilities than any of the competition. Leave the stop light races to other manufacturers, especially Tesla. Driver engagement, focus, lap times, and feel should be the aim of the M3/M4. Which it has always done quite well with.

He got the jump on him. I beat these Audi's and more all the time w my old 2015 M4. It's a favorite pastime actually. Lol it's a Volkswagen simple - don't lose. And mines a manual so no LC.

Steering feedback would be nice too! It's the sole reason I sold my f80 after 3 months lol

Might as well just throw the M3 in the trash at this point.

If you expect to win drag races from a dig. (That RS4 wagon is sexy btw)

not surprised, AWD will always get the car from zero to go quicker. Ultimately, the concept is different horses for different courses. If live in snowy climates and you need a fast grocery getter that can store your bike in the back, then the RS4 is for you. If you spend more time at a track and care about driving dynamics, weight shifts, the M3 is for you.

+1

I do enjoy their videos.... it was quite hilarious seeing the M3 CS driver insist he could do better than launch control (like we all think) and then end up just roasting the tires..

The CS closes in on it at the top end at an amazing rate.

I think Audi wheel design is getting to be quite bad. Those things look so heavy even if they are forged
