Hi,

I'm having trouble installing the left intake... lol

So, the VRSF pipe is supposed to be connected with the silicone coupler only? I was expecting the VRSF pipe to be smaller, so it will just fit into the tube on the bottom....but it is the same size??

Any help will be appreciated!!

Pictures would help but yes. They supply couplers as part of the package. I had no issues getting them to connect snuggly. It's tight getting around everything but it worked great with the hardware provided. Ends of both pipes go into couplers and then u use the fasteners to tighten them down. Those bands were also provided in the package. All high quality stuff.

Great part is that windows up or down u hear it. I have catless DPs and STG2 with burbles so car is loud and muffles some of the induction sound. It was raining today so had no choice but windows up. Pleasant surprise.

I will work on sound clip.

Mike,

If you look at the pictures, the silicone doesn't fit 100%, it has some gap...Is this normal?

Also is it normal for the Vrsf pipe to be the same size as the tube i'll be connecting? And the silicone with clamps are the ones that connects both pipes? it does not fit properly.. am i missing something?

Thanks

If you look at my first picture, you will see the pipe above (VRSF) below is the stock tube that connects... I was expecting the VRSF pipe to be smaller, so it will fit right into the bottom tube...

Did you put the coupler first into the bottom tube first? Then connect the VRSF pipe into the silicone? Yes, it is very tight... I'll try again...

Thank you!!

I wouldn't worry on that little bit of slack. We use some type of straps on my turbo e46m making over 1k whp.

Kinda funny. Had the same question at first. It works. That's what the straps are for is to make sure it stays air tight. Our concern was that the coupler would not fit the VRSF pipe as it was very tight but it worked fine. I honestly don't recall which end we connected first. Which ever was easiest so I think we did bottom first after test fitting everything bc we screwed that up on the DPs. DPs have to be jockeyed around to ensure engine cover will fit once your done. That is same for any application.

Are those the vrsf couplers? Kinda looks like oems in pics.

VRSF couplers... thanks!!

Here's the picture of the VRSF Intake install...

The overall fitment and quality is
I just had hard time installing the Left intake... lol... I took a closer picture of how left intake sits below the CF bracket and map sensor location. The 808 owner picture shows his Map senor is located left of CF bracket.....
I would recommend installing the Silicone collar first to the tube and tighten the strap, so it doesn't move when you connect the VRSF pipe into the silicone coupler... This is where I messed up for an hours trying to figure out...

After the install, I test drove the car for about 30 minutes... I can definitely hear the intake sound and no CEL warning... Happy with the product!!

Anybody know where I can purchase the part (Black Rivet?) from the last picture? While I was pulling the cover, I broke them...

I should've install the VRSF Chargepipe and Didn't get a chance to install this with Intake, but will do this soon.

Thanks for posting an update, wish I caught this thread earlier.

We eliminated the bead from the tubing in order to aid fitment on this platform which is why that gap is present. It's easily corrected once the clamps are tightened.

My pleasure Tiago.

I like seeing the good guys winning. You are saving us some money by providing excellent quality parts without the "M Tax" and I really appreciate that.

Hey guys, so this video is mine and I would like to clarify that this is using the blitz filter. Not the one supplied by vrsf. Vrsf provides the red KN filter I believe. The blitz does add a bit more sound than the KN filter. But overall the intake is awesome for its price point!
