Is Liqui Moly Ceratec good for 330i N52?
I’m changing engine oil of my e90 330i in a few days and I’m thinking of adding a can of Ceratec. For what I’ve read, it isn’t bad for the engine, but some people say that is better to avoid oil additives. My car has 61k miles.
I will also use an injector cleaner. Is it a must to apply it before the oil change? Or it doesn’t have anything to do? Because I filled up the tank yesterday. Thanks in advance! |

If you only drive 5000 miles a year, sure. Otherwise, good synthetic is proven to last 3x+ this. One member on here has been doing this for 400k miles. Oil analysis is your friend.

I say go for it and don't stress about it. I've used it a few times because I trust the Liqimoly brand and their products. I liked what I researched about it, thought it couldn't hurt and may help later in life when my motor starts to get up there in mileage. So far so good, just had an oil analysis and so far my 280k km N52 still running tops with no extra metals in my oil. I've also followed a 15k km OCI with OEM oil, so say what you want about what's the cause of the good test results.

Thank you all for your responses. I just did the oil change but only 4 liters of old oil came out of the engine. A month ago I added an extra liter because it asked for it, as it usually does after 5k miles of the oil change. Very normal as far as I know.
But after that, didn’t ask for oil anymore and now I noticed that engine was running with only 4 liters. It should have asked for more, I think. I’m starting to worry. What could it be? I hope it is because of the oil pan leak that it has. |

I also have a slow oil pan leak and my last oil change dropped out about 5L. The fill 1L warning light would come on at regular intervals and I would check on the computer at least once a week. At a regular oil change you would put in 6.5-7L and top it up if it asks for more.
I think I've read other people having similar missing oil stories. |

If u run the molygen oil LM makes u arent supposed to use ceratec with it cause it already has friction modifiers. So I'd recommend switching to molygen oil and leave the additives.
