Hello all, wanted to share this quick mod for the North American F8X. Special shout out to Abdul for sourcing and delivering these new OEM aspheric mirrors. While doing the research for these through third parties, I noticed lots of examples without either auto-heating or auto-dimming at a reasonable price. Because of this wanted to make sure to get the Euro Spec OEM ones with both heating/dimming connectors. Given the global supply shortage and constant freight issues, was glad I could get these without having to wait weeks, or months. Paid using PayPal goods and services, so wasn't worried about anything.

The mirrors are something I realized I needed after a few near misses during slow morning commutes, figured they'd be a quick and cheap way to have better visibility between lanes, like a no brainer. My car doesn't have blind spot sensors unfortunately and didn't like the look of the Amazon stick on mirrors. This is obviously not an alternative to paying attention when switching lanes lol, just a nice to have.

Install was simple and painless install, just had to adjust the mirror so that there's a gap big enough for a plastic pry tool or fingers, and pull out. The new ones snapped back in place.

Not much to say, but as you can see by the attached photos, they make a huge difference, especially in traffic. Glad I was able to get this simple mod. Swapping between other cars in the household makes me especially realize how good of a mod these are.

Being in Europe, I was taken aback when I drove a US BMW with the DOT mirrors. Awful visibility!

I hope you got the older version with the auto-dimming passenger mirror.

I also have mine adjusted so that from my point of view, I do not see the side of my car at all. See a lot of folks with half of their own car obscuring the view in the mirror.

Thanks my friend. I'm glad you're happy. I'm always here for you guys.

Based on the pics, the mirror upgrade seems super necessary.

This is what BMW instructs at their high performance drive events. Works very well for me.

I've adjusted the aspheric ones so that only a small part of the car is visible since there really isn't a blind spot anymore. Gives me a point of reference and helps a ton with parallel parking.

Euro mirrors are an absolute must. I have them in all 7 BMWs. I buy the mirrors before even going to the dealer to pick up the car and swap them out before the drive home

Euro mirrors -- the only way to go

Idk if these are the exact ones or not, seems alright but expected ship date is end of April 2022 for the ECS ones. IND also sells the same part numbers for closer to $500 shipped / tax. But I got mine from Abdul directly and quicker, would recommend.

Nice write up. I bought mine from Ind. I must said this is the best mod I ever did for both of my m3 and m4. Better than all other performances mod!

Quick update. I'm so sorry, I've been extremely busy. I didn't know that the only option people had was to buy them from IND for 500 plus dollars. That's crazy. I was just doing OP a favor with these mirrors. He reached out to me after buying the OLED lights asking if I could source this for him. I've received tons of emails over the past few days for this. I'll see what I can do for you guys and report back in the next 24 hours. Stay tuned.
