Should I get a 335i sedan?
So I have had my car for month and a half, it is a lease with no down payment, paying $596 a month(plus tax).
My question is should I trade it and get 335i sedan or stay with this one. Let me know what you guys think... and how much monthly difference do you think it will make? thx.... |

Can you even get out of your lease... And don't forget you will be losing money because of the upfront payment for tax/title/registration.

I'm not sure it's worth it to dump your lease yet. What happens if the 335i engine has some first year problems. This is not likely, but you never know. Wait out your lease, let them work any bugs out of the 335i sedan and then get one mid year or even after the 3 year facelift. You have a 330i now which i'm sure provides more than enough power for your needs. it's not worth it to lose another 5K to break the lease on an already depreciating product.
Naturally, you just want the toy thats bigger and better, which is understandable. But is it worth your hard earned money for another 50HP?

There are companies that facilitate transfering your lease to someone else. I have no idea if these companies charge too much for their services or if their are liability issues, but if you are serious about getting a new car, it might be worth investigating to avoid a huge $$ hit. swapalease was mentioned on this forum recently, although I know nothing about them other than the name - I'm sure there are many other companies that provide similar services.
