Torque specs - MT and differential plugs
I am planning on changing the manual transmission fluid and differential fluid (I know, they are supposedly 'lifetime' fluids). I have searched, but not found the torque specs for the 8 mm hex fill and drain plugs for the transmission. Or the torque spec for the 14 mm hex differential plug.
This is for an E90 335i w/sport pkg, if it makes a difference Thanks for any help! |

Front differential (at least on xi models), according to Bentley says "oil filler plug to differential" is 44 ft/lb. Same for rear diff.
For MT, it list two values. For M12 x 1.5. it's 18 ft/lb. For M18 x 1.5, it's 26 ft/lb. Hope this helps. |
