Just got off the phone with my dealership..

some interesting which was said. FYI I have a 2007 335 sedan whose lease is expiring in October 2010, and I wanted to discuss my lease end options with her. Below is what she said - take it with a grain of salt.

1) Apparently 2010 335 sedan and coupes are all gone (with the exception of one 2010 335xi model) you can't find one anywhere. As a result, you are left with all 2011 models, which aren't being discounted at all.
If you find a 2010 335 coupe, money factor is .0085, which is Bella low

2) To CPO my existing car, I need to take off my non-run flat tires before they will inspect the car. Isn't that a little bullshit? I thought they didn't give a shit when they inspected the car, at least they don't pay attention to the tires and tread.

3) if i am overmileage On my car, And I decide to pick up a new BMW..they won't waive the overmileage at all. I call load of b.s.

I intend to shop around a little bit to see how flexible each dealer will be when turning in my car. We shall see.

Most dealers are pretty serious about CPO, putting the original RFTs on sounds normal.

As they should be...if the next owner has problems with the car then they'll blame the dealer who should have inspected to car thoroughly in order to CPO it. In order to CPO, the car has to be the way it was purchased.

I don't call expecting one party to stand up to a mutually agreed upon contract (terms of the lease and condition of vehicle upon return of vehicle at lease end) to be a load of b.s. ---- I call it business. I think you need to grow up or maybe this is your first real experience with a contract?..... Good luck

Uh this is my third BMW lease thank you very much, but I thought they were a little lenient If you bought another car from them. I guess they're not flexible at all.

Not surprised about run flats, I've heard of overmileage being waived but they are under no obligation to do so. Who knows about the '10s being gone, but I don't know why they'd lie to you about it if they had a car they could potentially sell to you...

I guess I thought them waiving non run-flats was similar to them waiving overmileage. Boy was I wrong! Thanks for the clarification.

you don t have to CPO the car and go through the inspection; if you are the original owner and still have the base warranty valid, you can buy the "Original Owner Protection Program option"

http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Conte.../Warranty.aspx

Unfortunately we do not seem to have this option in Canada....

My car wasn't CPO'd because of run flats.

If they're legal they can probably stay.

Don't forget you don't have to return the car to the dealership you got it from, shop around, don't commit yourself to one dealer.

I believe no way around run-flat, you can return it with bald run-flats and get charge max $450. That's the only loophole as far as tires goes but regular tires would be rejected, come-on 3-series has no spare how dealer can even sell one with regular tires on it.

Correct, the runflats are a MUST, they will charge you up to the max, unsure of what it is but the mileage you can usually get around as long as its not absurd and you're buying another vehicle which I've also had the disposition fee waived when I've turned one in, but HPIA4v2 is correct, no way around the runflats, just find some on here with minimal tread.

You could always get some used 4-5/32's RFT's from Ebay for cheap.

What everyone else said but you should be able to find another dealer selling 2011s with a discount.

I would be cautious to 4-5/32, CPO stated that the tire must be at least 3mm from top of wear indicator (NOT tire thread), and wear indicator is 2/32 in depth, anything below that is consider illegal, so 2/32 + 3mm, do the math, its about 6/32, so if you get tire only have 5/32, you may failed inspection/CPO and wasted your money.
