Bad Day...FML

This is what happens when you're not paying attention and pull to far into a parking spot.

It happened on Pulaski at the VET clinic.. I went there because they NEVER answer the phone...Just think if they had answered the phone this would have never happened...at least not today.

Ouch... being a fellow Le Mans Bluer my heart hurts just looking at that.

How did that happen exactly? Did you hit a wall or hit the bottom of your front bumper against one of those parking blocks?

I HATE those blocks btw, they always seem a bit too high. Just the other day I scraped the corner of my bumper against one. Luckily it's not too noticeable.

+1. How the hell did that even happen? I didn't see that there is actually damage to BOTH sides of the bumper, but don't understand its correlation..

I think all E92 fenders are plastic. They were on the pre-LCI's.

Then how the hell do you roll the E92 fenders if they are all plastic?

They all do. Might be for the weight.

The rear fenders are not plastic. Only the fronts.

Same thing I said!

I pulled in to a parking spot. I saw the parking block so I didn't pull in to far(so I thought). I didn't hear any scrape and didn't bump it, but when I returned to my car. I went to back up and heard a crunch I stopped thought it was something under the car. I pressed the gas again and heard that crunch again and a pop. I stopped got out and the first thing I see is the fender cracked...I walked around front and see the bumper hooked on the parking block. I had to pull forward to clear the block and had to have someone lift my bumper as I backed up to clear it. Now I'm just waiting for USAA to get back to me so BMW can fix my car.

Dang, they really should have engineered the bumper to release before it rips your fender in half. Guess they can't plan for everything. Good luck.
