Which part is this? Under the hood..

Can you guys tell me which part exactly im missing, i know its called the Cowl, but im looking it up on tischer and am having a hard time knowing which piece it is actually, I think it might be the Cowl Dash Panel

heres the illustration

http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...layCatalogid=0

and a pic of what my car looks without it

i have the 2 side covers in my trunk, i cant put them on without the piece im missing

long story short.. the dealer took apart everything needed to open the ECU compartment and never put anything back on ( left it all in my trunk ) and left several screws around the engine bay, also checked for damaged injectors and never put the cover back on as well, which is why im now missing a piece and they never gave that piece back this was a few months ago, its to late too go back

your help is appreciated

I flipped shit when I was only missing 3 screws, I got some nice goodies out of that. I can only imagine with your situation. I can be hard to prove once you take your car home and say something is damaged/missing, but in your situation I think you will be fine.

OP, it's not too late to go back unless you somehow expressed great satisfaction since picking up the car. Go back and have them correct it, especially if you're missing parts.

guys this was more than 2 months ago.. my clutch went out a while ago and i took it to them hoping itd be covered under warranty, they refused to cover it, while it was there they gave it an oil change and checked for bad injectors, i had a COBB sticker at the time on my window, so im assuming they removed everything including the covers to check the ecu....

i ended up having it towed to a indy shop and upgraded to a ACT clutch, got my car back a week later, check the trunk and see all sorts of covers that go under the hood, the shop insists on helping put it back on, then they notice all sorts of screws missing, and that im missing a whole cover ( the cowel )..

Never took it to the dealer since..

i assume if i go now there will be no point

what can i possibly say? you forgot to put all my covers back on and you left it in the trunk? and now a few months later im complaining.. I mean im sure the shop could vouch for me as well and prove that im not lying since they saw everything, you cant miss srews lying all around the hood, even up till last week i found a couple more screws laying on the side of the engine bay..

horrible experience with long beach bmw.. not to mention i bought the car from them no more than a month and a half before that!

I would be livid if that sh1t happened to me, I would go back and tell them you just noticed it and want them to make it right.

Dude, you fucking serious?! They took apart your car, decided to not put it all back together, and left the fucking parts in your trunk? That's like a giant middle finger.

"Here, we took it apart, now you do it. Thanks for paying us. Now go away."

I'd be pretty pissed off with them.
