I think there is a revised bolt....different material. I'm not 100% on that though.

They haven't. I gave BMW NA call about my broken Valve and Head bolts and they basically told me tough luck.

I am an investigator with the law firm of Meyer Wilson. We are investigating a case regarding an alleged manufacturing defect resulting in frequent breakage of head bolts in certain BMWs. If you have experienced this issue, and would like to assist or learn more about our investigation, please contact me at 614-384-7030 or scoffman@meyerwilson.com.

look how long it took to make bmw take responsibility for the HPFP problem and that was MUCH more common than the head blot issue. chances are nothing will ever be done unfortunetly

i agree with troy, its not as widespread an issue as you would think. and the fact it happens outside of standard warranty, they will never acknowledge it.

you might get a slight discount as goodwill, but it wont be anything to call home about.

If no codes are being thrown use Chevron Techron fuel injector cleaner (concentrate). It solves rpm fluctuating upon cold start-up. Also, for most BMW problems start off by scanning your car with the Peake Research Tool. It contains the actual BMW codes. If you want to register a newly installed battery for free (just buy a $10 cable) and google/download BMWLogger
