service engine light =(

i picked up my 335i on the 25th of june. now its the 28th of june and my "service engine soon" light is on. what the heck? anyone else have this problem so soon?

did you leave the car running while you filled up? or the cap loose? the only thing i can think of so soon.

Do you have I-drive? If you do, it should say what's wrong with your car. We need more details.

Just my dumb luck. On the way home today the car got the other half of the equation, the half engine light. Went into limp mode. One caveat is without boost I was getting great mpg! (Smacking forehead)

You know... the very last moment before driving in limp mode back to the dealer 2 blocks away and throwing it back at them and scream for a new car... I filled the car up at a sunoco station with vPower for 27.77$ and the car was on... when I was pulling out of the station, the car went into limp mode. Interesting. What does leaving the car running while refueling have to do with the fuel pump dying? Either way I drive a 550i now.
