Has anyone ordered a non sport pkg e92 335i?
Almost everyone I have has the sport package and I decided not to get it because Im going to get aftermarket wheels preety soon after.
Does anyone have pictures of a US e92 335i with non ZSP wheels? Thanks in advance. |

I'm not ordering the sport package for the wheels, I'm ordering my 335i with sport package because of the seats. I've sat in a couple and I've decided I would never order a BMW without those sport seats. Just an opinion. I'm sure if you search you can see the 17's instead of the 18's.

I didn't even know there was a difference in seats between sport and non sport up until e92man said something.
A quick call to my CA got the car Sports Package. He also laughed that I was calling him to do this at 9:45PM on a Saturday. Now I just gotta wait for my baby to get built and to make it accross the pond. |

Yeah it's a good idea that you decided to get the sports pack. I got mine off the lot and it doesn't have the sports pack, and I regret EVERYDAY not waiting to get it.
The increased thickness in the steering wheel and the much improved seats are definitely worth the extra cash. As a bonus you get different rims! The standard seats are adequate at best, and I always find myself sliding around in my seat during moderate/hard turns. What's funny too is that I have yet to find that "sweet spot" of a seat setting yet, and I have begun attributing it to the poor side seat bolsters which have such lousy lateral support. |

I ordered my 328xi w/o the sport package for the same reason, that the same day i would get it, i would throw new wheels on it. As long as the seats are somewhat comfortable, im fine. I dont need sport seats.

Seats are a big deal. Sport wheels are also much nicer.
If you want the MSport steering wheel, it is expensive to swap out the steering wheel because you will need a "Sport" airbag. There's the speed limiter also, which shouldn't be a big deal to 99% of the people out there.

I would get the sport package. Think about it: if you were to sell the wheels for $1500 you would have already recouped the cost of the sport package and earn an additional $590 on top of that. It's like getting the sport seats for free. hehe

Ordering an e92 335i seems just a little crazy to me...I don't see the reason to not get the sport pkg.

Except that you'd be left with a car with no wheels.

That's why it's called an upgrade--when you opt for 19" rims in an '08, you don't get 8 rims, you still get 4. Those 189 rims list for $420 but anyone can go to the web and get OEM for $335 each...

The sport package also bumps up the speed limiter to 155mph. It comes with a more sport-tuned suspension as well in addition to the 18" 189's and the sweeet seats...
By the way, 2008 335's with ZSP also have the option to bump the wheels up to 19" with 230's for about $1000.

He said that he was planning to go with aftermarket wheels. Therefore he can just sell the 189 and recoup most of the cost of ZSP. Quote:
I am aware that when you upgrade the wheels from the factory you only get 1 set of wheels and not 2. Of course anyone can get those oem wheels cheaper than what BMW's listed them for. The OP mentioned he was going to get aftermarket wheels thus didnt feel the need to get ZSP. If he does get ZSP it would give him a better return. It's like getting the sport seats for just $300. He could also resell these seats later down the road if he feels he doesnt want them anymore. I cant think of a better scenario: get the options you want, use it and then resell it for more money than you've spent. |

they're referring to a sport package which is differerent from the M-sport package that is not available in North America. The sport package in North America does not have the body kit, so the body style is the same as the std cars. Essentially the sports package offers sport seats, larger wheels, sport suspension.

In the US, the 335i coupe sport package does not include the sport suspension:
ZSP Sport Package 2C6 18" wheels w/performance tires (style 189) or 2R4 19" wheels w/performance tires (style 230) 481 Sport seats 840 Increased top speed limiter
