Touch-up Paint
has anyone had experience using BMW Touch-up paint on their prior BMW's before? I just discovered a rock chip on my hood and its driving me nuts knowing its there, hoping the touch-up paint will work well enough to get my mind off it a bit. Any input anyone?

Best advise is less is more
The brush that is on the cap of the bottle is way way too big and broad. Get a small sharp pointed art brush, and only apply a very small amount of paint at a time and let dry. |

E90Fleet is right, touching up with a brush is easy to apply too much, so be careful. As an alternative, you may want to try one with a felt tip, which may be easier to control. Try this: http://www.autovisuals.com/
On the brighter side, you got your first chip/ding over with so all future ones will hurt less (unfortunately there'll be plenty )). |

On metalic paint...you'll always see the touch up. I've never managed to get it right. I just leave it now until there's enough chips or scratched to fuss, then take it to my good old friendly pannelbeater to respray. He charges me a bloody good price!
