Fao: all E 9x 330d owners

Could you do me a massive faviour; get in your car, leave it in neutral and rev it to around 1300 - 1500 rpm and while holding the steering wheel tell me of you can feel the engine rev through the steering? And tell me if it is clearly noticeable.

Cheers!

328: there's an every so barely perceptible vibration, yes. It's most pronounced around 1500. That said, I'd never have noticed it if I wasn't looking, and I don't think it's got substantially more vibration than any other piece of the interior of the car. If I had to guess, the steering column is just slightly resonant around 1500Hz.

Do you have an actual SHAKE or strong vibration? I only felt this resting my fingertips gently on the wheel.

It is a vibration, you can best feel it when resting your fingertips on it as you say.

When you get over that rpm range it disappears

How many km/miles has your car done?

42k or so. It doesn't feeel pronounced or out of spec to me. Just normal car feeling. It's certainly not visible.

I used to get a slight feel through mine, but really not that bad, could be engine mounts?
