Rattle noise fix.

I had a rattling noise coming from the back of the car, after a long search i discovered the culprit, the back seat armrest cup holders.
I pulled the cup holders out of the armrest then stuffed cupholder holes and plates with paper towels, then pushed the cup holder assembly in tightly inside, in the retracted positon et voila. This making my e90 rattle free.
I hope you guys find this helpfull.

Do you mean pull out the whole cup holder part? How did you do that? Can you still use cup holders?

It's a drawer type system, have the cup holders out as for regular usage then stuff the assembly with paper towels. The rear center armrest cupholders won't be usefull anymore , but the fix in my opinion ,made my e 90 rattle free, wich makes me very content. Besides i've never had any use for them anyway

Probably not, unfortunately.I'd feel like a Prima Dona maybe bc i own a couple heavy trucks, you know. The car is now extremely quiet compare to my last bmw (e 46 with tinted windows). I'm happy.

Thanks for the information. I sometimes hear rattle noise, but not all the time. I will check to see if it is from the same spot.
