BMW M4 Convertible (F83) Reveals Nearly All - Frozen White, Red, Black (added VIDEO)
BIMMERPOST NEWS BMW M4 Convertible (F83) Reveals Nearly All in Frozen White, Red and Black Updated 2/26/14: Added Frozen White M4 and Frozen Red M4 photos. Updated 3/31/14: Added M4 testing video from Nurburgring. Updated 4/1/14: Added M4 convertible top down photos. We bring you the latest and greatest look at the BMW M4 Convertible (F83), which is seen here in Matte Frozen Black and with minimal camouflage. Mechanically, the M4 Convertible will share with the M4 Coupe and M3 Sedan. Stylistically, it shares much of the M4 Coupe's design, but is differentiated by its folding metal roof (without double-bubble), lack of B pillar and different trunk lid shape. The trunk lid styling looks to be something halfway between the high curvy CSL-style 'duckbill' trunk of the M4 Coupe and the flat trunk design of the M3 Sedan. The Frozen White and Frozen Red models both wear the optional M Carbon Ceramic Brakes. The M4 Convertible may have its debut as early as the NY auto show in April. Nice, looking forward to seeing more pics. I assume no weight figures yet?
Roof looks disproportionately small compared to large size of the car. Hopefully that mean less weight increase compared to the E93 (though probably not likely)

Looking good
And it shows that at least BMW intends the car (even the cab version) to be driven in wintery conditions (in response to comments elsewhere that it wasn't adviseable to drive the M in winter conditions ) |

Which wheels are those? I don't think we've seen those before. Also, funny how they can just roll along on icy/snowy/frozen roads in rear wheel drive cars that have huge amounts of power with no issues...while a mere hint of snow and ice brings us to our knees.

It looks too bottom heavy. The roof looks very awkward on it. Should've been a soft top.

Looks good. However I think the Vert softens the aggressive look of the car more than I expected. It was not as much of a concern with E93 though as I thought that model looked great.

looks good, any reason why bmw choose the metal folding top versus a cloth top? I personally think a rag top look better with the top is up, maybe jason or scott26 can answer that.

Jason,
Do we think Frozen Black will be offered as a non-Individual option on the F83? Funny that they would camo up the bumpers and side skirts, which we've all seen by now on the identical F82, but not the trunk, which is specific to the F83.

The hind end of the car looks great to my eye. The flared fenders combined with the new 4 Series character line at the beltline and the notchback greenhouse look very muscular together.
But - which wheels are those? The look like they might be non-staggered. Could be an OEM winter set like the old 260M for the E9x M3? |
