Exactly but still the m3 appeals more to me as it has a better attitude than just being lower and wider. It is the ultimate one car to live with for me. Also the side window proportions are not very well i must say

This is what the proportions of the 4 series were really designed for (so that they could easily and cheaply turn it into a GC), and I have to say this is about 1000x better looking than the 2 door version.

BTW, I know it's been beat to death, but what the hell is the deal with the front wheel gap on all the 4 series cars? It really looks ridiculous.

The differences between the GC and the standard 3er seem rather miniscule. Could someone who understands explain to me what the business arguement is for having a standard 3er and a GC variant of every single coupe BMW makes? They're so close in looks and options, I can't see how BMW can justify the cost of producing two, nearly identitical models. GM did this years ago and look where it got them....

Do you have any clue how companies work? BMW would be in a lot of trouble right now if they didn't diversify like they have. They need to be able to expand each platform and milk them as much as they can to justify the costs of the new models and tech development. They need to keep up with competition to stay in business. Every car company is now diluted by purists point of view, including Porsche.

seriously its getting really old. Dont like the 4 series. dont buy it, don't see why everyone's panties are so sandy beacuse of this. Only issue i can see is it pushing resales of 3 series sedans down becuase while people may not be willing to pay for a new 4GC over a 3 new, used, i've a feeling people will be clamoring for them.

Would still take an M3 over this.

And I agree 100% with the M3 wagon idea. Would love to see them make that and then see Audi bring over the RS6 Avant.
