Those mirrors are atrocious, compared to the current M3 double-connect. Otherwise, looks very modern (read: good).

It looks like the rims could be bigger in the rear than the front based on the first pictures! Is it possible?

Overall it's looking positive. I've come to accept the new M4 name. I will however continue to hope that the HP output is better that what were hearing... With what todays cars have stock I feel 450 would be a safe mark. These numbers are not much better than my Stage 2 Dinan 335.

What's to lol about? The S55 appears to have an air-to-water intercooler fitted to the top of the engine, so the bulge is probably required for clearance, much like the E92 M3.[/QUOTE]
It was said many times that it probably wasn't going to be equipped on the new ones bud. |

I'm loving this car more and more. I'm still sad about the turbocharging, though.

Why don't they just squeeze the LED lamps to its butt?! D: Cause they already decided to put the LEDs for the headlights. (maybe saving LEDs for LCI lol) Come on BMW! We would pay more for it! At least LED tail lamps to the M4... Btw, what happened to those mirrors?! Pls tell me that they will modify it... Bring it on BMW! We are waiting! |

Wasn't there some talk that the 4 series concept angel eyes may also appear on the M4?

You can see the design of the mirrors under the camo...
Too much wheel gap... Don't like the rims... I like the test rims better which look like rims in the audi r8 plus dyno video I have those same tires on my M and they are doing fine so far... usually prefer michs but have no problem My big complaints will be the interior... and look at the long muffler... def replacing it would be my first mod Oh and carbon rotors should be standard - but only for weight savings - may not be as robust as standard brakes Last edited by Thurman Murch; 03-14-2013 at 07:53 PM.. |

Those rear brake calipers look like 4 pots to me...
All the video's to date show minimal body roll and the engine bay is full of extra bracing, I have a hunch it'll be more taut than the E92 is. The power "deficit" that people are moaning about is frankly embarrassing to listen to as a fan. The M division don't make lemons. The straight line performance will be better than the E92 if it is even close to E46 weight. The only down side will be that your friend with an AMG will be able to say that his willy is bigger than yours... Right up until the moment you pull your pants down.

It'll be interesting to see how it compares to the next-gen C63 due in 2015. Twin-turbo 5.5L V8. That thing will put out over 500hp easily. I feel like they are going towards the CTS-V crowd.
I'm not really impressed with the 2013 RS5 (and 2014 RS4 if it ever comes). It's a coupe with a V8 that revs really high - sounds like a 2008 M3 to me. It does have AWD though. They only release like 1000 RS models and sell them at sticker so I'll probably never get one. I think this new M4 will be just like the outgoing model - a great balance between speed, handling/steering feel, and just the overall driver-car connection. Never put down the most HP on the dyno, never be the fastest in the quarter, but will always be considered an amazing machine to anyone fortunate enough to drive one. |
