Experienced the fuel cut out for the first time yesterday... Also a fast left hand turn. Was chasing down a Mclaren 570S . The car suddenly was just at a loss of power and I had no throttle, I thought the car died on me! A few seconds later the car was running fine after the next corner. No drivetrain malfunction though. I'm not sure exactly how much gas I had in the tank but it read an estimated 10miles left. I think it has to do with being on NT01s instead of my usual RS3s.

Ok, went on track with 1/4 tank (btw, look at the fuel gauge, the tick marks are 1/6 ...), which is between the 1st nonzero and 2nd tick mark. After few laps on wet track and one nice drift in a corner, I get a fuel reserve warning, and the needle kinda dropped quickly between 0 and first tick, closer to first tick.
Few laps after, I get the annoying constant warning of less than 50km range, I finish the session with the fuel needle closer to zero with range of 43km. When I leave the track, the needle mysteriously moves up to above the first nonzero tick mark, and suddenly I have 80km range... I never got limp mode, and never was pushing the car... I know the fuel consumption/range are not accurate, but what's up with the needle?!? |

the guage moves according to your range which is measured on how your driving
Atleast that what ive notices Can say 30 miles remaining, when I come off and cruise to the petrol station the needle and range goes up |

When you drive aggressively around a track, the fuel splashes all over the place falsifying the fuel gauge reading, which invariably has an effect on range. Further, since you are driving aggressively around the track, you will see a much shorter range. I get the 50km warning with well over 10 liters in the tank.

Ran a fairly open event yesterday at Ridge Motorsports Park and could not get two full 30 minute sessions without starvation on the second session. Same corner every time, and anywhere near 1/6 tank.
Each time I hit starvation, it would bog for 3-4 seconds (quite dangeous in this +100mph sweeper, as you track out). One time it went into complete limp mode, and throttle response never returned until I shut the car off and turned it on again - obviously limped off track. The danger in where this happens in not just completely making the car unstable (think of lifting the throttle completely mid-high-G corner), but when you have cars on your tail with nowhere to go... FWIW, I set a new personal best at this track yesterday @ 1:50.8, which is running with incredibly fast cars and talented drivers. |

IIRC, this new pick-up was also implemented on all F8X.

1:50.8 on that track is blazing fast But it sucks to have this issue at turn 9.

I have never had this issue with my F82.I normally will run till the low fuel light comes on and then a few more laps.I normally get about 55 total minutes out of a tank.

Where did you get the information about the stock F8X only being capable of 1.2G?

I have the Dinan stage 2 tune, intake and exhaust. Plus, 275/305 NT01s, Ground Control coilover conversion and camber plates, and Pagid RS29s. I'm not a mellow driver at the track... |
