mine was originally supposed to make it to charleston on the 12th of february. it's not getting there until at least tomorrow at the earliest. so, 6 days off from original timeline is probably about the norm. that being said it seems like a lot of people in the 1/2/3 week thread have been getting through customs and VPC within 1-3 days total (which is fast). so the overall might still be about the same

Just 3 questions for you guys. 1st, did the build that you guys did update with the completion status change? My info for the vehicle looks like a Tanzinite Blue color for exterior but I order individual Ferrari Red. How come the image of the M4 is also an Austin Yellow color as well? 2nd, How long did it take for your car to get to the U.S.? My car is about to ship and I was just wondering. It has been at "transporting to the port of exit" since Feb. 16, 2017. I am pretty sure maybe a week's time so this upcoming Thursday or so will be the time frame that the vehicle leave from port to the U.S. 3rd, what does PCD mean, is that when I go to the dealer's to pick up the vehicle, pre conditioning delivery or something similar? Did you receive your M yet? Hopefully the weather hasn't delayed your delivery much.

not sure why the color is not showing up as what you ordered. I ordered Silverstone Metallic and that's what shows up on my portal. The voyage across the ocean will take roughly 2 weeks, but it can be sitting at the port of exit for well over a week. PCD is performance center delivery. This is a delivery option where you pick up your vehicle at the South Carolina (maybe there's another location as well) performance center.

Status update, I spoke to a BMW NA rep. and she told me the ship can take anywhere up to 2 days to 30 days depending on how full the ship is. 2 weeks of transport time and the car will at the dealers depending on the location within the U.S. She pulled up the build and the information was exactly how I built the car, btw she was very helpful, I am already loving the BMW before I receive the car (of course not my first build but it reminds me why I love BMWs and BMW service). Now I am even more excited to receive the vehicle, congrats guys, for all of you guys who got their car recently!
Thanks for answering my questions as well! I am hoping since many of you guys are getting the cars, that the ship will be full within the next few days since it is already been a week already at the port that the ship will take off. |

Thanks for asking. Mine landed in Baltimore last Wednesday (1/16) I think. I'm in Illinois, so figuring a few days of processing and transit so maybe later this week or early next before it hits dealer. Forgot about weather though (been 70 here!) so might be end of month. Good luck to you.

^---Hum, I didn't know that. Good info, I also called the BMW NA rep. to make sure and she confirmed the build. Thanks!
How is your car already release to the carrier already when my automated message states transport to port of exit? Could it be that the phone automated message could be grouped together and that the vehicle is not in transit for the last week and already at the carrier waiting for shipping (which I forgot to ask her)? |

anyone's car just ship? I checked MyBMW login this morning and it says en route to the U.S. But the 800 number still said it's waiting on a ship to pick it up. Is there usually a lag between the 2? I figured the 800 number would be a little more up to date than my online portal but maybe not...

I just called the Genius line this morning and my car has been sitting at port in Europe for 8 days. The representative said he has seen as short as 2-3 days and as long as two weeks.
The worst part of this is that there's an almost identical car on my dealer's showroom floor that I would have taken in a heartbeat if I could have counted on it being on the floor after March 1st!
