You need to update everything. Launcher PRO 2.8.1 is from August 2017, which is now 5 years ago. PM sent.

I'm trying to flash my ZGW. Got connected in esys and I'm getting an error message when I'm trying to read and save TAL. I have a version of psdzdata full(4.24.12)and I'm presuming the version I have isn't compatible with your esys version? Can I flash the ZGW with psdzdata lite provided in the original post? Thanks again for all the help!

Thanks for the quick response. Is there any way I can change that myself or should I download a new version? Hoping not to have to download 150gb again on my Irish broadband connection!

Edit FA file in E-Sys and change A105 from being an HO-Word to an E-Word.

Connect => Go to Expert Mode - Coding => Read FA => Save FA as "Original.xml" => Edit FA ("Original.xml" Opens in FA-Editor), Edit FA.

You're an angel sent from heaven, that worked! I'm following your steps from a previous thread and you say to read and save an svt_ist. There isn't one already in the svt folder is that OK? Will I just save as "SVT_ist"? Thanks

Thanks again. OK, I'm pretty sure this will be my last question(hopefully). How do I know what version of iStep I should be going for? I'm ready to flash zgw but just realized that the iStep is the same. Do you know which one I should be looking for. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Hi Shawn, I got the ZGW flashed successfully. Thank you so much. Now I want to update all of the other modules now, just to have everything up to date but when I clicked start I'm getting an error about the Ho-word again? I edited and saved it to the E-Wort at the beginning but now getting this error at the end? Any ideas?

Ok...... So...... Ya, I got that going using the original.xml as the fa. It started with a fault with the HU-CIC and the rest seemed to be going well. The computer dash changed from miles to kms etc. Then after 15 minutes it ended. Dash has gone back to miles and I have "Restraint System" and my control unit tree has lit up on Ista. I tried clearing the faults but the Restraint error is still there. No idea what I've just done. Nearly 11pm here. Guess I won't be sleeping well tonight.

1) You were only supposed to make checkboxes at blFlash, swDeploy, cdDeploy, ibaDeploy, not idRestore and idBackup. 2) Anytime you flash ACSM, you need to lock Airbag after: ISTA: Vehicle Management -> Service functions -> Chassis and suspension -> Safety functions -> Lock air bag -> Lock airbag -> ABL Enable airbag activation after programming operation

I was basically trying to save money instead of going to a dealer. Car is nearly a q13 years old but they still want thousands to do any kind of work. Can I reflash again the correct way or have I properly f'd up? |

OK, I'm still getting the bugs that I was getting in the original post so I will try again tomorrow just to be sure. I'm guessing I have some faulty module that is causing the bugs but my guesses are about as good as my sleeping dog. Thanks for all your help this evening, I really appreciate it. Through sheer embarrassment I feel like selling my bimmer and getting myself a nice pink bicycle with stabilizers. Slainte Shawn. Goodnight.
