New knuckles installed today. Old driver side still looks ok but driver was completely separated at the lower bolt. Peace of mind going forward. Install wasn’t that bad, first side took a couple hours, second side much faster.
Also did Fall-line rear camber shims and toe arms to dial in the alignment back there while car was on the lift. Installed the Euro seats a few weeks back, need to get the harness installed next but ran out of time/energy today. Good to have it back on the road. Sebring soon…

Back on track with it yesterday at Sebring and the car was outstanding out there. Quick for a full interior pretty close to stock car. Installed the RPK GT4 risers and m240iR end plates and car definitely felt more stable, especially at the higher speed sweepers (bishops).
I did learn that I need to figure out brake cooling…looking for ducting options without cutting up the front bumper. Other than pads and rotors, didn’t do anything to brakes to see what was needed. |

Look into the bimmerworld deflector plate solution. Cheap and functional

Thanks guys. I actually have a set that I ordered a couple weeks ago after watching their video on it. Haven’t installed it, wasn’t sure if it would be adequate. Back on track in a few weeks, will try these out and then plan for a bigger full ducting job if needed.
What’s the consensus on backing plates? Remove or leave on there?

Also, the rears can be removed very nicely. Remove the parking brake and then there's just a tiny sliver of metal you need to cut. This allows you reinstall the rear shields for a stock look later on. The fronts of course are removed with a few bolts, as usual for M3s. |
