I was quoted $410 as well but on bmwusa.com it is being sold for $360. Is the $410 including installation or are these different products?

Well if you select your dealer it should give you an install price. For instance it says $360 uninstalled or $450.52 installed at my dealer

So $400 is probably a flat port installation fee.

If leasing it's not bad, comes out to $150 including tax for me. Side markers are $71 on a lease.

I guess my dealer doesn't have the installation cost listed. If I select dealer installed during checkout it still shows $360 but installation price is blank. I'm pretty sure they don't install for free

If you are still doing ED, it's a moot point. ED cars aren't eligible for port installed accessories. You have to get it done at the dealership or somewhere else. You also can't roll the cost into financing. They used to allow for port installed accessories, but that policy has been changed.

I can't even seem to find side markers on the BMW site. I did pick up the side markers from IND, though, and for someone that's not tremendously handy, found them pretty simple to install in about 15 minutes.

I thought if it's pre-delivery it can be rolled into lease, on window sticker and it counts...

Can anyone that managed to get Invoice + 1,000, buy rate for lease financing, and a reasonable doc fee (i.e. 300 and under) give me their dealership contact? I am trying to source a car but dealerships keep playing games with me.

For example, BMW of Newton (Open Road) accepted a very clear deal with all terms outlined, with a specific offer price and everything, and later went back on their word. Supposedly, their ED Invoice was $4,500 over the one I was getting... "Yeah, your friends online have the wrong list" is what they claimed.

They also asked me for a deposit to secure my allocation number right away, and we would sign the contract later. Was I a victim of a "fishing for fools" strategy? I think so. Thanks but no thanks, buddy.

If they're claiming $4,500 over ED invoice as their ED invoice then it sounds like they're looking at ED MSRP.

I said that, and they said no, it's ED Invoice. Trust me, I could see right through them. They accepted a deal they could not meet hoping that they could tack on ghost fees later on. We went back and forth a couple of times. First they said I was not ordering an ED so I was looking at the wrong invoice.

When I showed them the offer clearly said ED Invoice + 1,000 they made up a new BS excuse. This went on for 3 days, bringing something new into the equation every time...

It was an obvious bait and switch strategy.

I was planning on ordering it myself and having the dealer install when they get the car before I pick it up.

That's fine. Just didn't want you to think you could include it in your financing.

Specs:

Black Sapphire w/ Silverstone interior
6MT
Black 19" wheels
carbon fiber interior & carbon fiber roof
Adaptable M suspension
Exec pkg
Lighting pkg
HK
side/top cameras, rear shade

MSRP: $76,185
Sale price: $71,000 (incl $1500 corporate discount)
36m @ 10k
.0015mf
63% residual
$10k down from trade (ends up being ~$8700 cap buy down)

There's a markup on your money factor (buy rate is 0.0013), but with that discount off sticker and resulting low payment you might not care too much!

Also, shouldn't the residual be 63%?

Current residual for an M4 36m/10K is 63%.....not 61%

I'd also think twice about your trade in. It's usually not a good idea to put money down on a lease. You might want to consider a private sale on the old car. $10K is alot of cash to throw at a lease....money that you'll never get back should something happen to the car before your contract ends.

Just food for thought.

But if you're happy with the deal, that's all that counts. Congrats on getting into an M....my M3 is on order and will hopefully be here in May.

BTW was this at Herb Chambers?

That's a great monthly payment but can you please post whether it is Euro Delivery or not? Also, does the $8k include max Security Deposits or Cap cost reduction?

It's not euro delivery. The $8k is for taxes, fees, first month, and down payment. No msd
So about $5,500 or so down payment. Curious as to why you went that route instead of MSD...

$3,950 for down. I'm too familiar with msd and usually just give cash down.
Good stuff! Thanks for clarifying! And congrats on ordering the car.
