Color advice
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com My dealer just informed me he can give me an allocation so I am busy speccing my vehicle. I like to go with alpine white with silvestone interior. I would like to know what u guys think of such a combo. I don't seem to come across anyone on this forum who has this color choice. Any advise will be highly appreciated. Regards |

If I was going with AW, I would have the SO interior hands down. Wish I was bold enough to order it as SO/SO. I think @"soccer dad" is going with that combo though.

It comes down to SO or Silverstone. I thought the white on white would give the car a very upper-class look and appeal. Also I never saw one with that combo in SA before.

I like white on silverstone and considered it myself. It's a bold look but less flashy than the SO interior (which I also really like).
Silverstone interior's are a bit more work to keep looking clean. But white exteriors are a bit less work. So hopefully it washes out for you |

As others have said, white is too plain, and hides, body lines. What about going with MW? If not MW go SO. I would ABSOLUTELY NOT go with Silverstone interior. I have oyster in my 550 and let me tell you it's the biggest pain in the rear. SO interior is the way to go or black.

In addition to showing dirt, many/most beige and light colored seating surfaces pick up a blue tint from jeans and pants. Hard to avoid from what I understand. It cleans off, but comes back fast, even if the jeans are far from new. It seems worse on perforated seats due to the added friction caused by the holes. I won't be going light again when it comes time to replace the GL. The fox red on my old M3 didn't have this issue. Never had an issue with the black interiors. I'm going black with the SO exterior instead of Sonoma beige for this reason.
I think white on silverstone is going to look pretty washed out. Go with black or SO inside. You can tint the windows a bit, if you feel the inside is too flashy. |

@Polly Have you seen the AW/SO pics on the forum. How can anyone do any other combo. They might as well eliminate all other color options as this should be the global stand alone option.

^I second lups comment. The majority of the peeps have AW/SO or AW/Blk, I mean they're absolutely without doubt stunning combos but they're like the plague here in LA. Basically most of the bimmers here are either AW or Black. Cookie cutter combo

Well the reason is because the combo looks stunning. Why should anyone settle for anything less than what the heart wants and if that means that my combo is the "Cookie Cutter" combo then so be it. I am happy to be the Cookie Monster and feast on the sight of my AW/SO

Saw the Silverstone interior at the Philly auto show. Here's a crappy iPhone pic (
View post on imgur.com ).It looked really good, but the upkeep was too much of a concern. My past three cars have all had black leather interiors, but I am really sick of it at this point. I'm going with the SO choice this time. |

I just attempted to clean the light grey interior of my ML350. The seats look like shit... Its MBTex which is supposed to be easy to clean, and the dark staining does not come off. I love the look of the Silverstone interior, but I will never buy it.

I have dogs, and even if now I swear they will never get into my car, there is no way I will drive that audi of the spouses one meter after I finally get this. The car will end up looking like shit, but at least it will be a fun one to ruin.

From the point of aesthetics, bright interior doesn't fit to bright colors. Therefore, you need to get some contrast like AW/SO...First, make a final decision what color you want to pick, then the choosing interior will be a way easier. For white color, I would go with SO or Blk.
From the point of consumer (customer), I would pick the colors that I like. If you're all into this color combo, then go for it! At least, when you get a car, you won't be disappointed. In case of popular combos, you might regret about it because it won't come across with your expectations. Since, your combo is not too flashy, you will be fine anyway. In contrary, I would be really concerned if I had to choose between some flashy colors like AY/SO and AW/BS. |

Get what ever makes you happy. Everyone at my dealer thinks I'm completely nuts for getting my M3 in YMB/SO but it's what I want so that's what I ordered. Good luck and happy ordering!

Sorry but to be honest you can't get a white car with an almost white interior. It could be the only combination I regard as impossible unless your name is Liberace.

Do what makes you happy not what people behind a computer screen tell you to do. Personally I'm going MG in SO when they get around to me in late December. It's actually not my preference, it's my kids two favorite colors and I couldn't argue with a 3 year old (that's what makes me happy).
