My first post on Bimmerpost.

Here is my first of several videos on my new M4.

Has anyone else had the airbag issue?

Hope you had a great weekend my BM friends.

Nick.

Looks good man, saw this yesterday.

I was following your 991 videos pretty closely. How do you feel now thats its been acouple days with the m4 over the 911? Does it feel like a downgrade?

I love my new m3... but still want a 911 at some point.

Glad you like it so far though! I really got a laugh when the airbag light was flashing. Your luck right?
Maybe it was because you had under 85lbs in the passengers seat?

Glad you like the car but I might suggest that you use a fixed dash cam rather than the constant jerky motion of a head cam mount - drove me nuts after a while Have to say also that taking 5 minutes with any of the hundreds of online videos, forum posts or whatever, would have prepped you completely on the car drive modes etc. so watching you fumble around trying to 'discover' the controls was not exactly a lot of use to viewers - just an opinion! All that said, it is always good to hear honest feedback and first time impressions and very much appreciate you sharing yours,

Hey Nick, congrats I have the same M4 as you except black wheels and 6MT. Hope you have a better experience with the M4 than the 911. It's unfortunate the 911 was a lemon.

Thanks for the comment.

Totally my luck. : ) Still I am 99% sure that my dealer has screwed up here and not turned on the airbags on delivery. They are circus monkeys. They even added the sunroof to my order without telling me because it is free and thought I would want that! Lucky to catch that mistake.

On the negative side so far the M4 feels heavy, large and unresponsive after the 991. On the positive side it is far more torque, is more comfortable and has a few more toys. I am sure I will get used to it and come to love it.

Holy cr@p, it's the Porsche 911S guy!

Man, I watched all those Video's, what an awful experience that must have been.

Most important questions, do you plan on putting a Kayak on top of the M4 and does the guy in your office who said the Panamera loaner looked like a giant silver Penis give the new M4 his seal of approval?

Disappointment! No roof nuts under the little flaps on the M4 so I don't think I can mount racks on there! M4 would have looked awesome with my boats on the roof.

I let you know about the penis guy! : )

Welcome to Bimmerpost.

Great look at the car in normal conditions thus far. Sounds great.. I would have drove right back to the dealer and had them reset the light as I'm sure it's a fault or a malfunctioning seat belt receptacle.

Watch the leather with the pooch!

Please don't drive the car in D1... it hurts me to see that. At least put it in D2

Try S2 for the transmission and everything else on sport and then let us know what you think

Cool video... thanks for posting it

Hey Nick, welcome and I loved your 911 videos and glad that all worked out in the end (funny what a little publicity will do!)

I'm a fan of your style so I'm gonna differ from a few others and say don't change a thing! Looking forward to next one!

Interesting you comment on how solid and quiet the car is inside, what a nice cruiser, etc.

I stuff animals with the egos of the men I shred on this forum.

OP: Welcome to the gang, we are a group of hooligans and car lovers, and I hope you enjoy this more than you did your Porsche. I have to say that you kept your cool so much better than I would have in your situation, that it's great to have you here.

Lups, the laughing stock of the forum.
