Nick Murray's 6 month review
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com Appreciate his inclusion of the "bloopers" at the end. Frankly, my conclusion is that his music choices need some serious reworking (was that Crowded House when he was showing how the HUD will list songs? I mean, I know he has to be patriotic for the homeland and all but...)

In this review, he seems to push that off saying that likely late in 2015 he will go back to a porsche....probably, but in no particular hurry to do so....

Nick, today is my day off so I typically browse f80 bimmerpost, and came across your 6 month review video. I just wanted to let you know that I think it is brilliant. I think your camera work is top notch, the sequence of your thoughts was very easy to follow and I watched the whole thing start to finish without as much as pausing it once! Thanks for the company! I even shazammed the song you had on at the end and am listening to it right now in the background. Not bad taste in music either.
As someone who is expecting to take delivery of his f80 M3 in the next few weeks, this video is much needed affirmation and only stoking the fire. Much appreciated! But unlike you, I don't expect my obnoxious Austin Yellow M3 to get much approval from the public. Maybe will get keyed every once in a while. Hahaha! |

The keying thing though... worries me sometimes. People need some color in their lives.

I agree...I will always be a 9 year-old in an adult body.

I do secretly worry that it is just a bit over the top for my parking lot at work. I run a small business in a fairly economically depressed blue collar town, in a large office building. Several of the building tenants are my customers. I worry that they may see a brand new bright yellow BMW (at my young age) as a sign that I am somehow ripping them off. That, and maybe my staff asking for a raise when they see it! Lol! I wonder if I'm making too much of it or if I'm being a bit immature about it, but really that is my ONLY concern with Austin Yellow. The total and utter failure to be subtle in certain situations. It has a presence, and it will make it known right away. My Alpine White f30 did a much better job at flying under the radar, when need be. Last edited by Falafel Combo; 02-18-2015 at 12:59 PM.. |

Considering all the highly documented issues Nick had with his 991 its surprising he is even considering going back to another 991. His experience in the M4 has been almost faultless which makes any decision to go back kind of questionable IMO.
Having said all that I've personally been down the same path myself, I leave for other exotic brands but always come back to the M cars because they do everything so well as Nick's video eloquently captures! Personally I would be very reluctant to go back to another 991 after his experience. Each to his own I suppose.

Yep he's spot on.
I expected the car to be nice to drive, but was amazed what a good highway car it is. Put everything in comfort and just cruise. It's super comfortable and just eats up the miles. The M1 / M2 buttons I found the same thing as well. I didn't want to fiddle a lot so I put M1 in full comfort and M2 in full sport +. It's just makes you grin when you push the M2 button. You go from sedate, comfortable GT car to a whole different beast. Great videos - well done! |
