Just drove the car to work (40 miles). I can say that I do not notice any difference in braking performance. I do not really race the car on the highway, especially now that it is still in the break in period, but it seems that braking performance has not changed at all.
I am going to keep driving around, and let you know about the dust, but it definitely seems a lot better. The wheels still look nice and clean. Before by the time I would get to work, you can see a nice coating of brake dust.

Alright, so after 100 miles with the new brakes, I can report that the dust is a lot less. There is definitely some dust being left on the wheels, but no where as much as it used to be. I only changed the front brakes, and now the front wheels are cleaner than the rears. Obviously it was the opposite, with OEM pads.
Now will have to just wait for the rear pads to be released.

Love the Power Stops, works as advertised, and I bought mine when it was listed at $30!!! SHIPPED.
Feedback I drive the car pretty hard, and honestly, I cannot notice any real dust being left on the wheels. Then again, I did clean my wheels and sealed it with Meguair's wheel protectant. It might be that Power Stop's type of dust simply doesn't stick to this coating. As for performance, I've done sudden stops on a dime, high speed braking, etc. It's almost identical, might be placebo, but OEMs were a tad bitey-r I think, but not in a good way. Also, if you read Power Stop's website about materials used, seems like they didn't cheap out in building them. Can't wait until they come out with the rears. It's hilarious, as today was the first time I cleaned my wheels and didn't have to do anything to front except wash them down. The rears clearly had OEM brake dust on them, not a ton, but it accumulates that's for sure. |

Brake pads are a must!!! I do not see any difference between these and OEM ones. The best part is that my front wheels stay clean from wash to wash. Hopefully they make the rear pads soon.

Power stops here too.....such a BIG difference with the decrease in brake dust. It's crazy compared to the stock pads. No difference in stopping power either.

Stoptech Street Performance and Porterfield R4S are two other options for lower dust and still retaining OEM braking performance.

Two and a half months ago I had email correspondence with Power Stop, reference when their rear pads (16-1656) would be available. Paul advised me that he would contact me when they were close to being released. I got an email from him this morning advising that they were "within days" of having them in stock with suppliers and that he would have further info for me later this week. More info when I hear back from him again.

Any of you tried coating your wheels with nano or ceramic coating? The latest technology can keep brake dust away for a much longer period of time. If you happen to get your wheels covered in brake dust, washing them is a breeze.

Yes, i have my wheels coated with CQuartz. It just make washing the wheels easier, however it does not make it repel the brake dust.

The experiment I did was coating one of the front wheels only and I can definitely tell the amount of brake dust between the left and right hand wheel after several days of driving. I don't believe one corner of the car is using the brake more than the other though.

I heard back from the rep at Power Stop an hour ago. The pads are now available for purchase. Their first supplier is rockauto.com I went on their site, put in part # 16-1656 and the pads came up and I ordered them! They were $28.00 and some change, plus shipping cost of $5.00. He did tell me that eventually they will be available on Amazon and their other suppliers, but that Rock Auto is one of their first suppliers to have them available for purchase.

Great Pads
I just put my Front PowerStop Pads on yesterday and drove about 60 miles and no dust. I used to do 25 miles and it seems I already had a light coat of dust. Today I did some sudden stops to see if I could feel any differences, but it all felt the same. That Dust was killing Me!!!
