M4 CS - Clubsport Limited Edition! For Spain Only

60 Cars of an mild GTS are coming (for Spain only):

http://www.autoblog.com/2016/04/07/2...usauto00000015

Quote:
BMW Spain recently announced a special edition M4 CS. It's billed as a more comfortable version of the M4 GTS (including rear seats) and, with only 60 copies available, more rare than the hardcore GTS. But hold on a second because the CS is not exactly the unicorn is appears to be. And the closest thing to a CS in the United States might be better. Here's why.

The M4 CS comes with more power, 20-inch wheels, and adaptive M chassis. But there's no exact horsepower figure. We're willing to bet this isn't the crazy water injection 493-hp engine from the GTS. In fact, this sounds a lot like the $5,500 Competition Package that BMW USA announced back in January. To review: those are the same goodies as on the CS with a power bump from 425 to 444 hp.

We concede one area where the M4 CS does earn our envy. The press materials also mention "exterior elements in CFRP (carbon fiber)," which could mean lower curb weight than the standard M4. Based on the teaser photo, the CS also comes with the rear wing from the GTS.

Lucky Spanish customers also get carbon ceramic brakes, but we can order that as a standalone option for $8,150. And the M4 CS only comes with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. Here in the States you can order all those goodies with a manual. So no, we don't get the sweet body kit. But we do get all the rest of it, with a manual, and probably at a much lower price than the Spanish M4 CS. And you can get the same stuff in the four-door M3. U-S-A! U-S-A!
Update: the BMW M4 CS has been revealed:

The CS comes with a +25hp boost through tuning, carbon ceramic brakes, standard adaptive M system, 20" Style 666M wheels, M Performance rear wing, side sill trims, carbon fiber front spoiler, rear diffuser and mirrors caps.

There are three available color combinations, including Brilliant White paint with Individual Cohiba and black leather cabin, Individual San Marino Blue body and Individual blue and black interior, and Jerez black finish with an Individual black and brown cabin. Carbon fiber interior trim is standard, as is the upgraded audio system, Heads Up Display and more.

In Spain, the new M4 CS is priced at starting price of €132,900 (about $151,100), a €40,800 premium over the base M4.

If this is true or not, we don't know, but tell me one thing: why Spain only? :

Looks like a parts-bin special, probably equivalent to ZCP with the GTS wing (or similar) and maybe the GTS hood.

That is also what I am thinking... Looks like a CP with a full complement of M-Performance parts.

I believe the wing looks more like the M-Performance wing shown at SEMA rather than the GTS wing, but I could be mistaken.

The text says that this project was initiated by BMW Spain as there were many disappointed folks that didn't get a GTS (only in Spain ???)... It's weird that BMW HQ accepts that kind of single action. So you should put some pressure on BMW USA...

Why do you think they are called 666 wheels? Because you are stuck with them for all eternity. They even use a special helix-style hub mating surface to prevent any other wheel from fitting to any car originally outfitted with the 666 wheel.

That makes even more sense. Using GTS parts could potentially interfere with the exclusivity side of the value equation for that car. It may be just ZCP and various M Performance bits. Maybe they'll even use the MPE, though I'm sure the price would increase accordingly.

yes, it is Spain only.

I guess, that this is a normal M4 ZCP with the complete Performance Programm incl. new Wing and Carbon fiber lip front.

This is more like the M4 DTM special edition and not comparable to a GTS.

I have my own M4 CS edition

What a lazy shop job with copy/pasting the front wheel and brake assembly to the rear of the car.

Wow....that country has the worst economy of all the European nations right now. But I guess the remaining elite (or "El Gorda" winners of the yearly lottery, which is supposed to the be the world's largest one) are pining for their fair share of all the BMW GTS hype.

Having said that, I'm going to go and buy me some lottery tickets today

Just think about all the special versions of the E92 M3 that BMW rolled out for different markets with parts bin add on. Tiger edition for China, Lime Rock for US, Frozen colors for UK, 2 DTM championship editions, the list went on forever.

Just going to do the same thing with the M4s.

Spain !!!! Well that would be a first ... I'll be keeping an eye at my local dealers in Barcelona. I'm wondering now if this car was revealed last week at the F1 circuit . A friend of mine went and he spotted over 50 M cars .. Amongst them 7 GTS , 10 M2 , All M3 Generations , M Safety cars , X5/6 M and more .. I saw pics of the car park and it was sick !!!
