Recaro Sportster CS + Schroth QFP

Has anyone considered switching to Recaro Sportster CS seats to use with Schroth QFP harnesses?

Example of the seats:

I think Bigjae has a similar setup, however, PCA in the Northeast as well as BMWCCA will not allow this

I'm looking at these or the new Sparco SPX seats. Will combo it with a set of Schroth harnesses mounted to a half cage.

I also considered the Recaros Pole Positions (like the GTS), but the harness pass throughs are too low. They only work if you are around the 5'7" height or shorter.

Important consideration no doubt! I'm fairly certain my local group will be okay with this setup. Considering switching to F80 (at some point) but addicted to the harnesses in my E92.

Sparco SPX seats look really nice, good to know these are out there, thanks! For the price though I think I'll take the Recaro's.

We're currently running the Sparco SPX seats in our shop M4:

Yeah, the stupid one piece seats are horrible for the weekend track warrior. They practically force you into a cage.

I drove the M2, M3 and M4 on track a couple months ago in a BMW event. The outcome is I picked up a second E9X M3 last week. True story lol

EDIT: For the F80 I did not buy, I had Brey Krause lined up to build a harness bar for it

Actually doing this seat swap rn (Car is in the shop with front and rear seats out as we speak) but I am waiting for the half cage/roll bar to be finished/installed. Anxiously waiting but pics will definitely be posted when complete.
