Can I sell the Competition Package Sports Exhaust?
I ordered a MY18 M4 with the competition pack. I also ordered the MPE and am still waiting for my car. The moment it arrives at the dealership they will install the MPE.
Now the question is, can I sell the sports exhaust to another M3 or M4 owner? I know I can but what I really mean is, will the new buyer notice a difference if he installs the MPE on a stock M3/M4 or would it be useless since the competition pack is what's responsible for the extra burbles and what not? The reason I am asking is if I decide to sell it, I wanna be honest to the person who buys it that it *will* actually make a difference otherwise I'll just keep it in my garage as a spare. On a side note, when the dealer removes the sports exhaust and gives it to me, will the new owner need anything extra to install it? |

Did you order MPE with the car? If so, you may not get the original exhaust. I ordered my car with MPE and they installed it at the port before it reached my dealer. I wasn't given the option to keep the original exhaust.

But just out of curiosity, if someone has a stock M4 and puts the sports exhaust from another ZCP car, will he notice a difference or it won't make any difference ? like are the extra burbles and cracks coming from the Sports Exhaust or from the different programming of the ZCP? or both? |

If someone were to install the zcp muffler to a non-zcp car it wouldn't make any difference since the burbles/pops come from a tune.

While the burbles do come from the engine tune, it has also been confirmed that there are other physical differences between the CP exhaust and the base exhaust that will alter how the car sounds.

Note that the stock exhaust is a single piece unit from the primary cats down. To install the MPE, the stock exhaust needs to be cut just downstream of the secondary cats. This means that selling the CP exhaust post MPE installation means selling an "incomplete" unit. IMO there will likely not be many takers.

You can search on here but I believe the exhaust is slightly better than the non-cp cars, so it is possible to sell it but most likely since you ordered with the car you won't get the stock one. It be weird to see a car at dealership with an exhaust popping up threw the arm rest and back seats folded down.
People on here sell the CP exhaust for like 300-500 so I think there is a difference other than the black tips.
